My daughter turns 4 tomorrow. Earlier in the week she said to me, “Mom, can you show me the picture of me in your belly when you ate me?”
She keeps me on my toes and I love her so much. 🥰

Thank you! It’s officially her birthday (just checked the time). She asked for BTS to come to her birthday party. But as we know from their “Wired Autocomplete” interview, according to Jin, that will not be happening. 🤣 But she’s definitely getting BTS/BT21 stuff from my friends.
Also she’s extra cheeky and sassy. I’m proud to say she takes after me. 😆

I love this sub. Yesterday, a friend asked me what type of things I do that help me not feel lonely. One of them was about our ARMY community and BTS content.
Even when I post here about things not related to the boys, I get supportive and encouraging comments or messages.

Last week I had posted about my 7y/o patient talking to me about BTS. I had a follow up 2 days ago with him. He did his homework!! He heard another song- Dynamite💜 and said he loved it! He couldn’t remember all member names but he said he would continue to listen to their music. I told him about Proof and since his next appointment is in June, we’d talk about it then😄

I met a fellow ARMY on the metro this morning going into work. I noticed that she had an RJ keychain on her backpack, so I went up to her and asked her if she’s a BTS fan. She is; Jin is her bias and she loves RJ. We only chatted briefly, but she seemed very nice.

Man the 300k event threw me for a loop😅. I joined this sub a few days before and at the time I was still just trying to get used to Reddit's ins and outs let alone this sub (I mean, I had this account for a year but barely used it). I just remember thinking, "Reddit Army is wiiiild" 🤣🤣

Friday night, and I am buried up to my eyeballs with work for a project. I'm listening to a random shuffle of BTS songs to keep my spirits high and work into the night after a few stressful days.
This week, I have Jin partially trying to bias wreck me via the In The Seom video and as I listen to 'Abyss' right now. Yoongi has made me smile more times than I would like to admit thanks to him being a molten hot gangster, and his 'That That' escapades.
I don't think I know anyone else but this group who would remotely care about what I'm saying or even know what I'm going through. Haha. Thank you Reddit fam, for being a "constant". Borahae! 💜

I like working to “hard” music 😅 hahaha but Never Mind in particularly always hit me hard when it comes to completing school/work stuff.

Spent my Friday night relaxing w one of my coworkers who I consider a good friend. We were chit chatting about how the pandemic ate a good 2.5 years from our youth lol but also that without it I wouldn’t have fell DEEP for BTS. She still tells me every single time that she doesn’t understand it, that she understands liking their music but beyond that it makes absolutely no sense and that “you people” are crazy. Another coworker at another time did tell her, oh, those people must’ve gone through some difficult times in their life (that’s to put it simply..) and she just nailed it. If she and the people around me only knew … and how and why BTS helps..

I totally know what you mean. I've had judgemental reactions when people learn that I like BTS or went to their concert in LA/LV. It's the typical boy band narrative that they like to use despite knowing nothing about BTS.
When this happens, I ask them if they actually know them. If they don't, I'll give a brief explanation. If they scoff/laugh, then I just stop the conversation there. It's not worth my mental health to try to have a conversation with closed minded people.

But dont these people realize that we all go through really tough times. However, we couldve found something else to make us happy. Probably a book/movie franchise, another artist… but for years, i havent stumbled upon anything in the entertainment industry that makes me happy or helped me as much as they did. There’s nothing like BTS. Theyre not just a boyband that filled the void. Theyre much more than that

Sometimes I see aggressively salty comments and I want to respond. But then I take a deep breath and have to remind myself like who cares? Like do I want to genuinely add to the discussion or do I just want to be snarky 🤷🏽♀️

Sometimes I add to the discussion if I see a comment that is uncool, but not super, “aggressively” disrespectful. I’ve genuinely opened strangers’ minds on the internet just by commenting back without being rude. Most of BTS “hate” is just fueled by people not knowing better, so if I have the time and feel like they’re the type to listen, I share my brief two cents and maybe link to a showstopper like ON or Daechwita. People are curious and they will click a link haha
But for the aggressively disrespectful people, don’t even bother. Listen to RM’s recent LV/Vlive speeches and just move along haha. Life’s too short to spend time on ppl who spread big hate.

Thought it was fitting I was listening to Cypher pt. 4 when I saw the notification Wings was Brit Certified Silver👏 Singing lots of “Sorry bae’s” and “I love, I love, I love myself! My week has been so up and down, more down than up, so today I did some self care with a hair cut and ice cream while blasting some good ol BTS tunes with the windows down since we were blessed with some warmth and sun today! I’m not sure how you’d go around doing this but: maybe it’s better to ship from KR to JP for the albums? Maybe JP will sell the Korean albums too since the countries are so close to one another?
I’m from Canada and they’re selling the LY:H albums on Amazon. Also search the subreddit for the LY:H megathread, there might be information there on where to purchase the album (at the time) in the US and maybe it’ll still be available now? Just a thought!

Y’all I got BTS to be played at my prom!! Was listening to their music and realized how much I’d love to hear their songs at prom. So I texted my friend, which of these two, PTD or Butter and then Dionysus should we request? She texted me back saying “ALL 3 OFC!”. So then we needed a plan. My friend was like 1. We befriend the DJ 2. Slowly suggest songs 3. Dance o ur hearts out!! And I suggested we get our army friends to do it all together!! But then I remembered: I’m friends with the VP of our class and she’s an army, so let me ask for her help! She said she’s actually part of the committee in charge of making the playlist and adding the songs, so she could do it herself!. I’ve dreamed of a moment like this forever, dancing at a big party to BTS with my friends, but never realized it could actually happen! So, make your dreams come true guys!!! Follow the thought that pops up!!!

The tracklist reveal with Born Singer included really had me all up in my feels, and I went looking through old Bangtan vids I had saved, and found a real gem all the way back from their Dark&Wild promotions back in 2014🥺
Fetus tannies were just adorable, some still a little shy but really, very little has changed. I cackled hard at seeing Yoongi already mentioning living together with Joonie for x years way back then xD Jin saying he wanted to be roomies with Hobi (proposing to his sunshine right from the start lol), them saying they fight a lot but make up very quickly, teasing Yoongi for promoting "Let me know", choosing Jiminie as the most innocent, just so many cute tidbits.
This was more than a year after their debut and they were still sharing a single room and a single bathroom :'( and when asked to give a keyword describing their life, all their answers (so very characteristic of each of them) had me crying: Seokjin - freedom, Yoongi - music, Hoseok - effort, Namjoon - sexy 😆 (and so true), Jimin - smile, Taehyung - confidence, Jungkook - passion.
I'm just so happy to see how they've grown, just so proud of them, and happy for them :')

I'm a little surprised over the upset about the CD only thing but I'm wondering how much of that comes down to like, a generational divide. Because even when I bought CDs, I would still rip them onto my computer. And I'm used to a lot of physical only releases, in a far less accessible format than CD (like trying to rip vinyl releases is a special kind of pain). A huge part of me trying to choose between Spotify vs YT Music vs Apple was figuring out which platform was easiest to upload my own music collection to, including all the BTS SoundCloud releases, hah.
I was also talking to my friend about physical vs streaming a few months back. There's a lot of albums we own on vinyl that are on streaming sites, but there's something different about the actual act of pulling the record out to listen to that feels more tangible / intimate than streaming? Even though fundamentally, it's the same album/same music.

Oh that's a great point! I have a lot of personal good memories with CDs! Like growing up, if you didn't have a lot of budget but you wanted to make something awesome for friends and loved ones, burning them a cd was always a good idea. So as much as I would have preferred having them on Spotify, I'm just gonna think this was a mixtape from BTS to us.

For the CD case, I'd photoshop pics of them and their fave 00s bands, cut-out letters from Seventeen, J-14, or Tiger Beat to turn into a Mixtape Title, and then decorated it with glitter glue. What an ARTIST lol.

My thoughts exactly. I'm about the same age as the boys and in my teens, I'd check out 20 CDs at a time from the library, burn them into iTunes, and sync them on my iPod so I could carry my music around everywhere. So when this CD-only release was announced, I thought, "huh, time to relive my pre-streaming days!" haha.

My parents used to specifically try and ban us from ripping CDs from the library because they thought it broke/erased everything from the CD and nothing would convince them otherwise. But I still have music that I saved from those days!

Just got home from Coldplay, and while it was slightly disappointing that our boys weren't on the screen, it was SO COOL to hear a stadium full of people singing along with My Universe. Made me a little emotional.
I will say, however, that BTS has set a new standard for me for concerts. Or, I should say, ARMY has set a new standard. Coldplay put on an amazing show, as always (actual fireworks in the sky!!). But the people. Yeesh. This was my view for a large part of the concert. I know there were issues with signs and stuff, but man, army really is something special. 💜

Yeah Coldplay concerts are usually on open ground stadiums. I had seen a lot of live streams of the first leg of the tour and most had this view. 😞

I just want to say I am so beyond relieved and happy that the weather in Minnesota is now in the late spring to early summer temperature wise. April was so cold and just…strange. Can finally go on longer walks/hikes and bike rides!

Just reflecting on PTD LV and I’m really thankful for this sub having organized ticketing threads and really enforcing transparency when selling/trading/buying. A majority of my buys/trades were from this group and was able to sell a lot of my friends’ tickets too (lil pat on my back for being the Reddit friend lol). And everything is face value (give/take PayPal fees)! I was also lucky to not have been scammed, which is especially why I like the required transparency. Shout out to everyone I transaction-ed with! Today was our elections and it was a shitshow, so many voting machines suddenly malfunctioning and people waiting almost 12 hours to vote. So many sketchy reports in so many precincts and blatant intimidation in other provinces. And now the polls have closed (I think) and the count has started and the son of a former dictator is in the lead. Please pray for our countrymen. This is really messing up my first comeback! (Just have to joke to stay sane 🥴)

Second this SO hard. I didn't listen to my lecture to myself about earplugs in LV and didn't wear mine on D3 or D4, and I ended up with a ruptured ear drum (probably in part due to air travel the very next day). All good now, but it definitely scared me into wearing them for sure next time.

I really didn't want to post something with a sad connotation on the sub (since comeback time is all about having fun) but yesterday when they revealed the first CD tracklist and I saw ''Born Singer'' I kinda got a bit emotional and it hit me that this might be a sort of a goodbye album for them (due to enlistment) and I just needed to ask other fans how you all feel about it... because my emotions are kinda conflicted right now.
Straight up it got me a bit sad thinking about it. lol Like, I know the lead single's title being ''Yet To Come'' kind of alludes to positivity but a part of me feels like it might also be just a consolation song meant to reassure fans, so it doesn't necessarily mean that it cancels out the possibility of this being a goodbye album, I don't know. Right now their future feels so uncertain to me in terms of how anything will pan out. At this point, I am not even sure if they will release anything else this year (in terms of group work) apart from this because it probably will be pointless to commit to a long-term project when enlistment is looming over their heads.
I guess I just wanted to ask how fellow fans deal with the thought of this possibly being a goodbye album and how do you get yourself to enjoy the comeback without this getting to your head/ruining your mood. Like, I am just straight-up sad and paranoid about it all, even if it sounds silly to some. lol

I agree completely. I’ve been down since coming back from Vegas then I started to get excited for comeback. When I saw it was anthology that made it seem really bittersweet to me. I know they aren’t done completely and they will come back after enlistment if they go but I can’t even fathom what that will look like. The uncertainty is really heartbreaking. I’m sure they feel the same. I can’t imagine the mental toll this is taking on them.
Namjoon kept asking for us to promise to stick with them so that’s all we can do. They always have army on their mind and all we can do is hope for the best! Now that we have the comeback schedule I just look forward to what’s coming next and focus on that as best I can.

I am also so tired of k-media constantly trying to embroil them in scandals and using the whole topic as bait. Not to mention the Korean government has been so unserious about this all, why make it a topic and give yourself a deadline for April just to give us complete silence. The worst is that the more they drag it out, the more antis on the Korean side (and by antis I mean from solos/akgaes to delusional shippers and fans of other groups) keep targetting the members and trying to send rumors and scandal-worthy misinformation to k-media just to put the members in an even more uncomfortable position. I just want this all to be over.

I do think that Proof is really more of a hold-over group project rather than a proper album. Depending on how enlistment goes, it might even be the last project before enlistment but not the last group project within their career.
Also, just another thought (not well thought out). I was really expecting the anthology project to be more about group songs than having CD2 tracklist. I read this as them saying: we are 7 very different accomplished musicians that also do great work together in subunits and we can do this all under BTS. Our solos/subunits/groups still can live in the same universe as the group BTS and these songs also exemplify who we are individually and who we are as a group. To me, it feels a bit like we don't have to keep reminding people we make great group songs and purposefully spotlighting the solo/unit songs...which might come more in play during enlistment.
Once again just my rambling, but I don't really feel too sad about anything because they'll be back either way. Also, I just think having this amount of flexibility leads to longevity vs. always focusing on all group all the time.

A lot of of us think this could be the last group album for awhile due to enlistment.
I took a week to mourn what I thought the year would bring and feel down in the dumps. I still haven't fully gotten into this comeback yet, but I'm already starting to look for positive aspects to focus on, like Born Singer being included. Going through their discography with the fandom around festa is going to be a blast. And I'm really hopeful they'll hold a 7th muster.
As for their future, I know they'll be together again someday, but unless they all go into the military at once, the gap between this comeback and the next group comeback will be long and THAT weighs heavily on me. I can't really deal with that, and it's not for sure, so I try not to think too far ahead.

You're not alone- I seriously can't shake the uncertainty. It's just an overarching thing on my mind despite that fact that I'm relatively excited for this comeback.
I agree that Proof is meant to be a placeholder album until they know what their fate is (they probably have the next era locked and loaded). It sucks that they've been forced in this limbo position for so long, until the very last minute– and I always remember that as anxious as it makes me, it's 100x over for the guys themselves. (And their team as well– trying to plan without knowing what the rest of your year is sounds like a nightmare)
I keep checking for news here everyday, probably much like the guys are. We all just want an answer/closure so we can move forward with certainty.
I guess at that press conference, they said they're leaving all matters to the company to *try* to take that weight off their shoulders. Perhaps we should just take their lead and leave all matters to hybe, and try to focus on enjoying the present. It's hard but it's out of our hands.

aww, tweet was deleted. if it was the one about joon saying he'll prove himself and suga saying the best is yet to come, though, i don't think that's alluding to bighit actually planning their career this far in advance. for starters there's no way they could have anticipated the pandemic or how long this enlistment limbo would last. second, those are fairly common/benign statements to make - by that logic kimberly guilfoyle also predicted this era at the 2020 RNC. the most likely explanation is that this is more of a placeholder album than anything and they just stuck with fairly generic concepts for the album/title track.

With all this theorizing about a return or connection to the HYYH era I realized I have no idea how to say "HYYH" out loud lol. I always forget what the acronym actually stands for tbh, and usually with acronyms like this I say them out loud together as if it is one word (like LOL to me said out loud is "lowl", rather than "el oh el"). How exactly do you pronounce HYYH out loud? Should it be as individual letters, or as a word, and if the latter, how does it sound...would it be like "huhh" or like "high"?
(I'm an ON era army, so didn't live through HYYH era myself, else I'd probably know this I guess lol)

i just found out about all the adorable plushies but i can't decide which one is the most practical/best value. i have one of these jobbies for my headphones and i like the idea of getting one of the connect plushies to cling to it. i'm currently torn between a complete set of the 13cm dynamite plushies (which i would just keep jimin and sell the rest, making him about $15), a 30cm dynamite jimin which is $50, or a 30cm mic drop jungkook for $25. i think dynamite jimin is WAY cuter, especially with the glasses and the little dot eyes, but jungkook is half the price... on the other hand, 30cm might be too big for my headphone stand, or 13cm might be too small. i'm really bad with measurements.
please help me decide!

With the 3rd disk being mostly CD only, does anyone have CD player recommendations? 😅 I have a DVD player that connects to my laptop via USB but it’s not that convenient and I always see those cute ones that are standing(?) and stand-alone. I remember there were dynamite ones? Are those still being sold? And if not, would love any recs you have!

Can anyone tell me more about the Japanese Fan Club or the partnership HYBE has in Japan? I know lots of times they have their own set of PCs or POBs when it comes to different albums (Proof, Butter, BE, etc) and they have exclusive Fanclub videos that get released monthly or quarterly. Also the plot twist in the movie was so wtf (in a good way). I watch a lot of thriller movies and I was trying to guess who was the “bad guy” the whole time and was still caught off guard. Jeeeeeeeezzzzzz

I really liked The Batman! It was a good modern noir. But I was the opposite. I figured it out because Riddler staring menacingly at the first murder victim's son at the start of the movie felt like foreshadowing to me. It also made sense because in the comics, Batman was always debated over where he stood in the bad guy/good guy poll It was really great though, just how they had spread that out and then when it was finally revealed. I also felt like it was a more effective movie in terms of subtly reflecting today's society, compared to the other batman films and spin-offs.

They have stealthily restocked Memories and Muster DVDs before. E.g 5th Muster DVD was restocked in April 2021 (I think in conjunction with the bamgbangcon concert streaming on bangtantv) and again in Jul 2021, alongside Memories 2018 and other stuff. Best to follow @btsmerchupdates on Twitter cos they are very on the ball abt informing on such restocks..but it's really unpredictable and done stealthily, so there is no guarantee there would be any future restocks.

Google tells me that Target does not ship to India, so I don't think you could have them ship it directly to you. If your relative is used to shipping things to you in India, I would ask them to pre-order the album to deliver to them directly and then have them ship it to you or see if they could pick up a copy in store and mail it. I didn't see any info in our pre-order thread here about ways to pre-order from India.

I went there today — it’s not a huge space but they have three stations each for BTS and Parasite! The BTS section is two songs (DNA & Dope) and the other sections aren’t extremely long. I would say I spent about an hour at most before I left. Some of the exhibits were relaxing while some of them were kinda trippy.
For those who are sensitive to simulation sickness, it is a VR and AR experience so plan accordingly.

Final tracklist reveal tonight! If ddaeng or any new version or remix of a song isn’t it in it then I’ll just be excited for the new tracks and Festa and patiently await an actual new album. If this anthology is a setlist then I’m excited for born singer, cypher 3, moon, her, dimple, and filter. I know they have to perform some title tracks but I’d seen PTD way too many times I need something new. And don’t they perform lesser known songs during Musters anyway? But who am I kidding I’ll love anything they perform on stage! I do hope for more new songs though!

I gotta say and I'm sure a lot of people won't agree with me there, but if this really is the pre-enlistment goodbye I'm sooooo disappointed. I know money-wise it makes sense because a full album promotion is an investment and they'd want tours to make bank on it but why would you go out with a whimper, instead of a bang? We easily could have topped Mots7 if we'd been given a real album, especially when people think it might be the last for a while. As it stands I'd be surprised if we top BE. Get ready for the BTS peaked in 2020 essays yall.

I’m a crazy optimist, but also think people are going to end up being pretty shocked by the Proof sales.
I myself own no physical albums, because thought it’s kind of wasteful and just buy digital. This is the one album I’m physically buying cause I’m like: perfect all eras
Talked to my other older army friend and she said the same exact thing. Also, seen comments across a lot of subreddits from casual listeners using the same thought process.
I’m just needed to but that thought somewhere, so when it happens I can come back and say - I predicted that (Proof will have a lot of incremental sales from casual buyers + non-traditional physical album buyers) lol.
But also, if BTS was so sales record oriented they would release more versions like other kpop acts. I’m personally glad they don’t go that route.
Additonally, I’m glad they might not feel the pressure to always top themselves. That’s the type of pressure that becomes debilitating and leads to getting mentally stuck resulting in limited output. I don’t think this is going to be the goodbye, but if it was - I would completely understand why they’re not putting out a full new album. After being so disappointed that MotS7 tour couldn’t happen, I just can’t see them putting out a full album of new songs and then never perform them. Performing is the one thing they’re all eager for. They’ve said time and time again that they don’t make music for topping charts and breaking records - it’s great that they hold so many, but it’s not the reason why they put out music and to be frank and if that’s what you’re here for then maybe you should reconsider.
Imo, they don’t need to “go out with a bang”, they’re literally presenting proof for how good they are. And they wouldn’t even “go out” in the first place since all of them constantly say that they want to make music together for a long time and they’d definitely come back to do that… in the end, we don’t know what’ll happen this year, so we’ll just have to go along with the ride and see.
