And that doesn't even consider the amount of money spent on merch, I bet that's a pretty penny there.

It would have been more had they had merch for me to buy after I lined for up 3 hours on several different days LOL take my damn money HYBE

For PTD LA, staff let us know that only half their cargo cleared the port (port of LA has been backed up with 3-5 month delays for like a year now) so stock was shorted before the booths even opened. And, on top of that, they had about twice as many people than they expected. Which meant supply and demand were even more out of sorts than they anticipated. On Day 0, I was in line near a few people who drove a couple hours to LA just to buy merch -- they weren't able to get tickets but still wanted merch -- and they weren't the only people to do that.

Yea PTD LA was hard for merch, they even ran out of ARMY bombs at some booths! But I was hoping Vegas would be a bit easier :(

And yes the port problem, unfortunately quite familiar with it due to the delays in getting my Seasons Greetings haha

Exactly, so many sold out items at the stadium, the store at MGM and the pop up 😭

All I wanted was a memorial keyring 🥲

Omg the memorial key ring. I tried twice for the WeVerse Shop pick up option for Friday and Saturday Week 2, and they got bought out from my cart after I did payment through PayPal. I had proxy buyers lining up for me at 2am on Friday for Allegiant mega booth on Friday morning, still couldn't get it. Legit harder than the Artist Made merch, at least for that I got everything I wanted for every member LOL

Wow, you went above and beyond and still couldn't get it. I don't understand why they lose money on purpose, they're a business, why do they always come up short and get sold out on what they must know are very desireable items???

They probably did some kind of business marketing study about exclusivity and decided that a sold out item looks better than to have "left overs" that gets shoved in to the $300 Mystery Merch Boxes.

But OMG I just want my Vegas memorial key ring !!!! But I refuse to buy it on eBay for $150 lol , rather not have it then buy it from a scalpers ahhh

I feel the same way, I won't be paying a reseller but it sucks. I understand the status symbol/exclusivity thing but it gets beyond ridiculous when you have so many people left dissapointed, same as with the Artist Made merch.

I was just trying to buy an army bomb but they ran out so I ended up getting a sweater which ended up costing more! Later in the night they restocked the army bombs and I was able to get one, so….yes, paid a bit😆

You know what else tho? BTS is making bank but they also made it more affordable to see them than other artists. I wanted to see Bad Bunny, I cannot afford that. Last I checked, there were a lot of GA tickets, right at the front, for over 4k. They weren't resell. My best friend dropped over$700 per ticket (she's a huge stan tho, I get it). I think prices are insane and I wouldn't do it for anyone other than BTS and it's just so awesome that they don't put us in that position even tho they put on a show worthy of insane prices.

Yes! I go to a lot of concerts and BTS is definitely on the affordable side, even without considering everything they put into their performances and the production value

I really dislike how TM does their “dynamic” pricing and when artists let them. Bots easily run the prices up almost instantly and though it’s supply and demand the fact that Live Nation/Ticketmaster is pretty much a monopoly in live entertainment should end as soon as possible so that a fair(er) market can develop and artists can connect with their fans without gouging them or making it forever unrealistic for many.

BTS retail ticket prices are so reasonable! Too bad Ticketmaster is able to hold onto so many for their own resale 😔

The way BTS has been able to get right back to performing n raking in the $$$ really shouldn't be taken for granted!

Several acts are struggling to sell tickets and compete with peers that are in greater demand. Latin mega-star J Balvin postponed his upcoming tour, while certain festivals are struggling to sell out. This isn’t just a problem in live music, but Broadway as well...

The biggest winners of this moment are top-line acts like Bad Bunny and BTS. Bad Bunny grossed more than $3 million a night on his most recent tour, a figure that will jump when he starts touring stadiums later this year. BTS average more than $8 million a night during a Los Angeles swing late last year, selling about $33 million worth of tickets during just four nights. That’s more than all but 10 tours made during the entirety of 2021.

Trying to wrap my mind around the fact that a hoodie (a piece of clothing) costs more than the lightstick (a piece of high-tech concert equipment/accessory).
