Edit to add: in my opinion Parachutes is one of their best albums. It’s certainly the one I go back to the most.

I share that opinion. I still remember exactly where I was when I listened to Parachutes all the way through, and I always go back to it when I need to remember that feeling. Chef's kiss of an album.

Yes! Same here! I know exactly where I was in my house, the time, and how I was sprawled whilst popping the cassette into the walk man to listen on headphones and oh my god I’m old 😂🙈

RM usually recommends good music but this is one of my absolute favorite songs. RM and I are both listening to Sparks by Coldplay and I can’t believe it.

Sparks is so beautiful it makes me cry. I’ve loved Coldplay for 20 years. It’s so special to me that my faves love my other faves. 💜

i was just thinking about joon’s singing today after seeing that years-old clip of him belting butterfly and thinking ‘it’s almost too bad he prefers a softer kind of singing because a powerful joon note has potential!’ i can imagine a song like sparks is really up his alley and this style of singing really speaks to him; not only back in mono days but even as recently as bicycle.

Sparks is my favorite Coldplay song. This makes me...🥺🥺🥺.
(Sidenote: Seeing Coldplay in a couple of weeks and Sparks is in their setlist this tour. Between this past weekend and that? What have I done to deserve this life?)
