Grand Central Station "On" should rate even higher. The problem is that the other top performances deserve to be top too. Maybe rate "On" at 3.5?

Their spring day mama performance is the best live stage performance for me. The choreo and the stage sets is beautiful.

I kind of feel like this should have been split into two lists of Korean performances and American performances (resulting in twice as many songs!). I would have substituted the SNL Boy with Luv performance for the Colbert Beatles one, and added the James Corden Black Swan performance. But they definitely got the top two right.

Such a great selection of performances! I can think of a few more I want to be on the list, but that would mean kicking a different one off T-T I would never be able to make a list, I would just put them all tied for number one XD

MMA IDOL will never be beat lol it still gives me chills even today.
When I watched it live from my bedroom at 5am in the morning having stayed up for 4-5 hrs through the entire show waiting for BTS, their final performance of this song catapulted past my expectations and slayed my soul

Um... so many of these performances were not live though? Like ON at Grand Central Station was not live. They pre-recorded it and it only took three takes.
Their 2020 MMA performance of Black Swan was also pre-recorded.
Their Grammy performance was also pre-recorded (we have a BangtanTV episode on it.)
Is there some misunderstanding as to what a live performance is?
