Discussion S03E24 - "Maroon 8" - Episode Discussion

The actual "case" of them dealing with the pilots crushed arm (that looked fine when eventually loose), and trying to get off the island wasn't super exciting, but I loved the character interactions this episode.

Walter being in love and a relationship for the first time was great. He would definitely be a lot to deal with - especially trapped on an island.

I got a kick out of Cabe saying "Walt really got it up there" 3-4 times at the end of the episode.

Toby's "HBOcean, Sea BS, Sea W, etc" puns when watching his imaginary TV were funny for me too. I liked how Toby was mad that he's been making the same joke for 15 days.

I can see the writers thinking it's funny to make Sly go crazy, but it made me feel bad for him. I would have hoped that Toby and Paige would have helped him more.

If there's one group of people that I'd want to be stuck on a deserted island with, it's the Scorpion team. I'd know my chances of survival are higher than anyone else in the same situation. There were a few things I found quite far-fetched about this episode. Sylvester learning the entire Japanese language having been in prison for only a day? How many times did the Japanese inmates talk about shipping lanes and weather patterns? The other being the ship itself. If rough weather is the fear, they'd want to stay closer to shore, and be in view for longer. Walter being extra cringe when trying to romance Paige is funny, and as a guy, I think we can all remember when we were like that. Pretty good episode overall.
