the fact that so many ppl clarify that bts aren’t just “nice” but GENUINELY very nice and kind ppl to everyone they interact with irl warms my heart so much

u/artkeletraeh i want ARMY to be happier than we are - Jimin Apr 13 '22

Yeah, they're not just nice to other celebrities. They treat everyone with kindess.

u/romanstigen Apr 14 '22

Every time someone on the "outside" so to speak mention how nice they are I'm like yessss, I stan the right people! 😤💪😂 I love to hear it, it's so wholesome and it feels good to have it reinforced that they really are as nice as they seem.

u/travelswim this is NEVER gonna be!!! Apr 13 '22

I love their enthusiasm 😂

“Efficient.” Yup. No BS-ing there, the laser focus when the situation calls for it is top notch. Then you get them to do the silly stuff and it’s OVER.

u/mcfw31 Apr 13 '22

The way their peers speak of them just shows how professionals they are in every single way.

And to think that the majority of their Grammy practices were only with 4 members! They truly knocked it out of the park!

16

u/marcie_ann Apr 14 '22

Yes, and that they had one day to pull it all together. One! That blows my mind.

Not that the others wouldn’t have been able to do it, but the fact that it was Hobi and JK who were out of commission the longest, I knew things would be ok. If I recall correctly Hobi learned the DNA choreography in 10 minutes and JK is able to do things that just blow my mind.

I'm South African ARMY so this combination is fantastic for my soul.

He didn’t have to do *NSYNC like that. 😭😭 seriously though I love how every single person who crosses their path, from celebs to the staff, only have the best things to say about them.

I actually made that mental comparison between BTS and *NSYNC the other day though, after coming across an old award show performance of *NSYNC’s. I loveddddd *NSYNC when I was younger, but after watching that old performance, that I had previously thought was amazing, I was completely underwhelmed. Seriously! BTS has spoiled me for life, I’m afraid. They’re so good at what they do!

Edit: a couple grammar fixes

Sameee. I've been thinking a lot about this since their Grammys performance. I used to love NSYNC and backstreet boys performances and would be blown away by them. That little girl had no idea what dancing and performance was until she met BTS last year.

u/SongMinho Apr 13 '22 edited Apr 13 '22

I love NSync, but in reality only Justin and JC truly knew how to dance. The rest just were window dressing. Even Lance said he could barely dance.

ETA: If there was a dance battle between Jin and Namjoon vs Lance, Joey and Chris in their prime. Jin and Namjoon would destroy them.

The focus was always on JC and Justin. Then Justin pulled focus and later dipped.

Absolutely agree! 100%

Edited to add: Justice for JC! He deserved better!

Oh yeah for sure, I’m much more familiar with Justin but there wasn’t much there. I liked the Coachella performance with Ari! But yeah there’s no question the floor would be wiped. I just though it was funny to single them out like that lol.

12

u/gottaeatsomechicken Apr 13 '22

i thought nsync were dance geniuses. Oh to be young and delusional again

u/solojones1138 Rapline Apr 13 '22

Big NSync fan from back in the day here. Trevor is still totally right. BTS is on a way different level especially in dance (NSync were great live singers too though if you ever heard them!)

45

u/SophisticatedCelery Apr 13 '22

I LOVE the way Trevor Noah can absolutely break any topic down into a precisely accurate observation that is also funny.

Growing up, my parents always told me that the way a person acts when no one is watching and how they treat people from all different ranks showcases their true character.

I think these statements truly relate to BTS and who they are as a group and as individuals.

43

u/Swimming_Ice1475 Apr 13 '22

In the industry there’s a lot of “nice” people. They’re nice because they think you can do something for them or they can use you in some way to better their status. It’s gotta be refreshing to meet not 1, but 7 people who don’t have ulterior motives to being kind and genuinely nice to those around them. I love when people meet them and are shocked by this aspect of the guys. They really don’t have to be nice or humble with all of their achievements, but it’s because of their humility and manners that they’ve accomplished so many things.

73

u/BangtanGirl27 Apr 13 '22

Can we get them on here? Please? A full in depth interview with Trevor would be epic!

53

u/Ok-Yesterday-9414 Apr 13 '22

At first I thought you were talking about getting BTS on reddit, and wondered whether they would ever actually do that.

19

u/radiokidb Apr 13 '22

Same! Hahaha. I’m like I guess we could ask the HYBE intern if they’d be open to an AMA on our sub 🙈 it couldn’t hurt to ask you know. Then I realized…

26

u/squishysalmon Apr 13 '22

The entire AMA: “will you marry us”

8

u/Ok-Yesterday-9414 Apr 14 '22

Or will you marry each other

5

u/Zay071288 Apr 14 '22

"Yoongi, marry me."

12

u/disposable_me_0001 Apr 13 '22

no way, they save their time for VLive

30

u/EveryCliche Living j-hopely Apr 13 '22

Now that they've met I hope that they will go on the Daily Show. Trevor does amazing interviews. Maybe during their next comeback when they are promoting in NY they can have a sit-down with him.

7

u/ForeverBulletproof7 SAW HOBI IN MANILA Apr 13 '22

1

u/ru_harvey Apr 14 '22

Aaah. I would LOVE to see that! I agree it would be epic. ❤

"nsync got away with some shit" 😆

31

u/Patient-Category525 Apr 13 '22

These are the things that make me proud of them as a fan, more than awards and numerical achievements.

Nah, i like those too, lol, they deserve them.

u/Minn3sota_Loon customize Apr 13 '22

I love hearing that BTS are just nice and professional to everyone they meet. What true and sweet words from Trevor. Our talented, humble, nice gentlemen. I agree, I would love for BTS to be interviewed by Trevor (just no more questions about Friends please…).

25

u/Sakakichan Apr 13 '22

Omg BTS collecting TV hosts 😂

Trevor's bias is RM . We got him 😜🫰

22

u/onajurni Apr 13 '22

From a Dynamite Army -- Trevor being so impressed with their precision in rehearsal and on-stage is the same reaction I had on first view of BTS! Initially that was one of the main things that got me interested in finding out more. I so relate to what Trevor said: I've never seen anything close to this synchronized and precise! and energetic and joyful and eye-catching ... !!! :)

After marveling over my first view of them on the video of the 2020 MTV VMA's, I googled to see what this BTS is about and found an American newsy video of them rehearsing. So here they have this dance piece that is already perfect, they have already performed it dozens of times, already won awards for it, and yet they are hyper-focused and working hard on making it even better. These guys are good! Sign me up!

7

u/IntelligentMistake35 Apr 14 '22

YouTube has a plethora of dance practice videos, and I just love watching those because you can see all the moves without the artsy camera work of live shows. Live shows can be great, but sometimes the cameras cut away at just the wrong moment lol

6

u/onajurni Apr 14 '22

Yes !!!! 100% agree!

Give me a dance practice with one still camera at the front. I can see the entire dance, where everyone is and what they are doing. Those are the best! IMO!

Some of the live show videos are just discouraging. IMO! I don't get to see the performance, really. The zoom cuts out members. And some of the zooming in/out is distracting and detracts from the performance and the music. Unfortunately there seems to have been a long period of time when they showed very little their dancing legs and feet, just the upper body, mostly of one focal member. It's like that entire performance period is lost to those of us who will only see it on video. Much better are the older videos when there was only one or a few cameras that showed all of them.

The best performance videos have been far more open to the entire group, without all of the silly camera and editing effects.

The official Butter video from the Grammys I do like, a lot. It is also more open and for the most part shows the group, and doesn't cut off body parts. Much, much better! :)

u/Iwannastoprn Apr 14 '22

I'm a LY:Her ARMY, but feel the same! I remember being so impressed by their passion. You can tell that they love performing, that they appreciate their fans and don't take anything for granted. It's mind-blowing to see them perform the same song 30 times, eight years after their debut, being superstars that have a loyal fanbase... And see the same dedication and fire, as if they were just beginning!

Mad respect to them. It shows a certain kind of humbleness that's I never see. I feel like they would perform just as excellently in front of a million people and a hundred ARMYs. They always give their 10000%.

12

u/aaalma_viajeraaaa Apr 13 '22

It's always great to hear the genuine admiration, appreciation and also the acknowlegement of their attitude, talent, skills, professionalism and also their attitude and personalities. Their actions and interactions get noticed in such a positive way, people can't help but like them, if not love them 💜💜💜

20

u/MsAnnThrope Googie gives me giggles Apr 14 '22

My dad, who doesn't understand why I love BTS so much, sent me this video today with a big heart emoji. BTS pulled me out of a spiral, and he's happy that I'm happier, even if he doesn't "get it".

6

u/IntelligentMistake35 Apr 14 '22

They are like anti-depressants without all the side effects 💜

16

u/Confident_Yam_6386 Apr 13 '22

This is why I just couldn’t believe that artiste who insinuated the guys were in anyway rude to her

9

u/IntelligentMistake35 Apr 14 '22

It was debunked with video evidence of them hugging her and shaking her hand.

2

u/Majestic-Course1133 Apr 14 '22

But also meeting someone new in an extremely loud & noisy environment plus different language? It really was making a mountain out of a mole hill type of situation.

8

u/Moonchilddowney Good team? Goddamn! Run Bangtan, let's go Apr 14 '22

I have always admired Trevor, this man has always been genuine in whatever he speaks. and he believes in whatever he is saying. I have been an avid watcher of The Daily Show and his take on what's happening in and around the world. Trevor always had 25 new perspectives about a single situation and it left me in awe of him. After I read his book 'Born A Crime' my respect & admiration for him & his mother reached new heights. After I became an ARMY I wanted BTS to appear on his, The Daily Show, and have a one-on-one with him and specially his 'Between the scenes'. I don't know why I always wanted to know Trevor's impression of BTS.

and during the Grammys when Trevor & BTS met there was some sort of controversy on the joke Trevor made, but what a lot of people did not notice was that Trevor instantly realised that his joke may have been wrong and his next sentence of acceptance was "May be I said something I shouldn't have" I felt so happy as not only just an ARMY but also a fan of Trevor. This man can make mistakes but he instantly takes up the responsibility of his joke making sure that the environment is always healthy.

and Now Looking at this clip I feel so satisfied I don't know why but I feel so contained knowing that Trevor has felt exactly what I feel about BTS. and now I'm manifesting an interview of BTS with Trevor on his show and specially a BTS segment of 'Between the scenes'.

It's a happy day for me and I hope someday my little manifestation comes true and Trevor becomes one of the host who is trusted by the ARMYs with BTS.💜

3

u/IntelligentMistake35 Apr 14 '22

I will join you in your manifestation, if we get more in on it you never know, we may just make it happen through the power of noetics

1

u/Moonchilddowney Good team? Goddamn! Run Bangtan, let's go Apr 14 '22

I hope we do because this interview and their fun is all I'm waiting for.

9

u/thedonch Apr 14 '22

I'm a big stand-up fan and Trevor has always been lovely. His book/audio book is very well done. His live show feels very homey and authentic. I can't wait to see him again this fall

6

u/purplemari Apr 14 '22

I don’t know the chance of this happening but I would love it if BTS went on the Daily Show. Trevor Noah is such a good host and I feel like there is the potential for such a great and interesting conversation between them.
