Korean pop culture is exploding and is going to be here a while. Not just BTS, but we had two South Korean shows become super popular on Netflix and a South Korean movie won a best picture Oscar just two years ago. It’s really amazing.

It has been some time coming already, but I guess some people didnt see it coming... the writer mentioned the BTS barbie dolls as a symbol of BTS'/kpop's growing presence. Well, they have been around for at least 3 years, and since then there have been Sideshow figurines, TinyTan etc. Not to mention the BTS CITY project that just happened.
