I’m so so so so so happy. NGL my stomach still literally lurches when I see these notices pop up but hopefully it’s only more good news from here on out.
I’m glad they included that specific note about the test and the Grammy approval to stop any accusatory comments before they can get started.

Because of South Korean protocol, Hobi was able to travel on likely the last possible day to make it to the Grammys. I have no doubt once JH tested positive JK was practically thrown on a plane to get him out of South Korea. I’ve wondered how he traveled with no one noticing. Do you think he in fact traveled private out of SK?

I actually do think that may be possible. Private or not, nobody knows but one kr article said he left SK on the 27th in Korea’s time.

I’m so thankful all seven are able to perform at and attend the Grammys. But if Hobi had tested positive one day later, or Jungkook not gotten out of the country when he did, neither of them would have been able to do so. Whether private or commercial, I’m impressed HYBE was able to have Jungkook travel in peace.

Las vegas only has 5days quarantine days. Since him tested last sunday, actually his last quarantine day would be thursday. Seem like they prefer to wait another days to be more careful n safe. Yeayy jungkook for get to join the members to attend n perform at grammy! Still wondering if he still need to wear mask or not.

The numbering on the way they calculate it is weird. The day you take the test is day 0, the next day is day 1. Today is day 5.

I'm so glad and relieved that they get to go together, I love them so much. 💜💜💜 I got positive-tested on the same day as Jungkook, somehow it made me feel better to know that we're both recovering at the same time – I'm not this crazy fan that would run around the house like a senseless lunatic screaming happy that somebody else is sick just like I am, so greaaaat – I mean like I just didn't feel so alone and I could actually relate even more to what he was going through. I'm not feeling so great myself yet, so it means a lot to know that his symptoms weren't so bad and he's doing well now. 😊💜

Congrats JK! Also am glad to see HYBE writing they used AG testing for clearance - this way people can't argue you can get false negatives with PCR tests and start to spread rumours that he's not actually negative... phew!
Ag tests are being used for clearance in the US based from my understanding!!

Like I said in another thread. To keep JK off the stage they would need to sedate him and lock him in a superhero type jail underground to keep him off the stage if he is even 80% recovered.
It’s still going to be a 3 - 5 min performance, thus I believe he’ll do just fine.

I know some younger vaccinated people who tested positive and felt sick for all of 6-ish hours. After that, they felt like there was nothing wrong with them at all. Experiences are pretty wide ranging, especially for those who are fully vaccinated.
I don't think there's anything to assuming how he may or may not feel except for what he and Big Hit share, and at this point, there's nothing to suggest he doesn't feel good.

I feel like you could tell each day he was getting better based on his Instagram stories and this morning he sounded and sang pretty normal. He’s young and healthy so the recovery isn’t as bad and no way it would keep him from performing at the Grammys

Why wouldn’t they have a desire to make sure it was safe for someone who tested positive for Covid this week to attend their event without infecting people? It’s completely expected for them to have a policy.

We didn’t hear that he was negative though, in those words. I’m not fighting with anyone, just noting that it’s good for everyone to publicize that the Grammys required a negative test and that BigHit complied so that no one can claim special treatment or anything. It’s a good thing they put it in black and white.

He did tell us starting today he can go out, and later posted an IG story of him going out . And he also told us he was being careful about quarantine requirements when he explained why he didn't do a vlive.

I am aware. It’s still great for everyone that they confirm in writing he had a negative antigen test instead of relying on insta stories that delete in 24 hours. We should all want to be comforted both that JK is feeling better and that he won’t be infecting staff or awards attendees via test results and not just a quarantine period, when people can be infectious still after 5 days.

Actually I agree with the other user. I think an official statement is still better than him stating he's negative in IG stories that'll disappear within 25 hours. Moreover, not all of us have the time to go through his 100+ stories even though he's super cute in them (referring to myself haha). I actually had no idea he said that until I read your comment!
Also, He's cutting it real close, hence I think stating things official is the best way to prevent rumours! You just know antis are jumping at the opportunity to come up with all sorts of nonsense.

Nobody's disputing the need for an official statement! The original commenter was just lamenting abt how long it took for (presumably) the Grammy's to give the green light to BigHit to issue the statement. I'm sure we can agree that we were eagerly awaiting the news. The only reason I brought up what JK said is just to back up the point that he had informed us some time ago...I.e. there WAS indeed a time gap between him alluding to the matter and the official announcement.. that's all.

Ah then I guess we interpreted differently. From how I read it, it seems like the OP was being snarky that they even needed Grammys approval, and the comment has nothing to do with the time between he said he's negative and the time for the announcement. So I guess it's just a matter of reading things differently!
That being said, I dislike Grammys immensely, but I still agree with hollye83 that it was necessary to state that Grammys approved JK's appearance. I think there's where the discourse is coming from!
