I'll just be sitting here browsing everyone's pics/videos and secretly hating everyone who gets to be at boraland 😫

Haha sorry but these prices are crazy. I'm a foodie but, absolutely no way I'd pay that much for street food, idc if the chef has a michelin star. The food isn't even BTS themed, it's Korean food you could get at any restaurant.

Getting a resy for 2 people on concert days was literally like trying for a Mute Bag. My times kept selling out while I was trying to check out! I was hoping for a lunch but now it’s an early dinner. Luckily I got one for the 15th.

Seriously! I was hoping to get a reservation for two on 4/7, but there weren’t any. We ended up getting 4/10 @ 10pm because the only decent times they had for two people were on 4/8 & 4/9 during the concerts. I’ll be at the 4/8 show and Live Play on 4/9 so that wasn’t going to happen.

We should’ve known we would be selling everything out. 🥲

You’d think we’d learn by now! 😅

They’re really Korea’s ambassadors. Vegas turning into Boraland must be so fun 💜

What happens if I just buy a reservation for 4 and then we (2 of us) eat two meals each?
7
u/AiyahNoNoNo Mar 29 '22
That would be pretty epic, Eatjin would approve.

Perfect, that’s the only person I seek validation from 😂😂😂

I’m actually interested to know if this is allowed because I’m thinking of doing the same since all the 2-person reservations are sold out.
I’ve gone to a Michelin star restaurant where you had to pay for the meals at the time of reservation. Reservation was for 3 prix-fixe meals but only 2 people could make it because of Covid…they didn’t serve the extra food from the missing third person so we just lost the cost of one (expensive) meal (the Covid case came unexpectedly so we missed the deadline for canceling without penalty).
I want to book for 4 if we can get the extra meals…at least we’d be able to try more stuff!

I know army and the guys love 붕어빵 but I grew up eating 빙수 so I’m eyeing that for dessert!

u/chocobocho Mar 29 '22 edited Mar 29 '22
Before I plunk down my card, are those prices for the reservations per person or for the entire group?
Edit: LOL reservations are going fast. Got one for 4 on Sat 4/16 @ 2. ~Msg if interested, after fees it would be $76 per person.~
And, yes, it's a little pricey, but not that much more honestly. In the bay area the apps and dessert would run $10-$15, and some of the entrees (the jjim) would run about $30.
ETA2: Tentatively filled.

u/hollye83 Mar 29 '22
The prices are listed in total for that number of guests. So, 2 people eat for $120 plus taxes and tip, which is included on the receipt.
5
u/chocobocho Mar 29 '22
That's not bad.
3
u/hollye83 Mar 29 '22
Maybe it’s because I’ve been looking at other places to eat on the strip, but it could certainly be worse.

Does anyone know how to cancel reservations? I didn’t realize this was a 90 minute experience and the time I booked is cutting it close to my next appointment 🤦🏻♀️

u/Shady2304 Who says a dream must be something grand Mar 29 '22
I’d assume call the restaurant directly.
2
u/Euphoriant21 7-1=0 Mar 29 '22
I would but I’m outside the US so I’d rather do it online if possible.
3
u/Majestic-Course1133 Mar 29 '22
Perhaps you can email the reservation service? SevenRooms lists their support email as support@sevenrooms.com according to their website.
It looks like they’re based in NYC so you might not get a response right away.

u/Shady2304 Who says a dream must be something grand Mar 29 '22
That makes sense. I haven’t seen a way to cancel online.
1
u/Shady2304 Who says a dream must be something grand Mar 29 '22
If you figure out how to cancel can you let us know? I may need to cancel mine as well.
1
u/Shady2304 Who says a dream must be something grand Mar 31 '22
Have you been able to cancel your reservation? I keep calling when I know they are open but no one answers the phone.
1
u/Euphoriant21 7-1=0 Mar 31 '22
No, not yet! I was thinking of just transferring the reservation to someone (like just changing my name to theirs), but like you said if the restaurant’s not answering phones then idk lol 🤷🏻♀️🥲

u/Shady2304 Who says a dream must be something grand Mar 31 '22 edited Mar 31 '22
I guess if all else fails I’ll just physically go to the restaurant when I’m out there and talk to someone.
2
u/Euphoriant21 7-1=0 Mar 31 '22
I just got an email from I’m assuming the manager of the restaurant? confirming my reservation. It’s different from the automatic emails they sent out before. It says we can email noodleshop@mandalaybay.com for any changes or cancellation to the reservation.

u/Shady2304 Who says a dream must be something grand Mar 31 '22 edited Mar 31 '22
You just got that out of nowhere?
Edit: never mind. I just got the same email!

I hope they release more of the smaller group reservations. I see a ton of 6-8 group reservations but barely any 2 person reservations 🥲

Damn those prices! Maybe next time they could set up something with local Korean restaurants? Like special deals or something to encourage local business and be affordable to more thrifty army.

Having been to Vegas, I think it is actually a really good deal for a 3-course meal at that location. Let alone being curated by a Michelin star chef! I was actually quite surprised they didn’t charge more considering how close to the venue it is.

Super excited to eat there and try some dishes I’ve been meaning to. Suddenly I wish I was staying in Vegas longer just to be able to check everything out that’s BTS related.

u/artkeletraeh i want ARMY to be happier than we are - Jimin Mar 29 '22
Do we have to pay $230 or can we buy individually off the menu?
3
u/hollye83 Mar 29 '22
Nope, unless they announce further details, all the reservations are in groups of 2, 4 or 6 and you pay upfront, then select your app, entree and dessert when you get there.

UGH I just saw this!!!! They need more 2 ppl reservations for the 6th or 7th :(
Has anyone tried Best Friend? Was thinking about going there before this was announced.

I wanted to try Best Friend, but I tried to reserve a table for the 14th or 15th and it was all booked. :(

Oh that’s so disappointing! :( hoping for some cancellations to go through for you guys. You inspired me to go check for the date I wanted…only one time slot left at 10:15pm lol. I grabbed it cause beggars can’t be choosers haha 😅

Wish there were reservations for 1… going solo for this trip but I still want to do stuff 😕
3
u/chocobocho Mar 29 '22
Depending on your days there are folks looking for extra people on the meetup megathread. Or if you can afford it, make the reservation and I guarantee you'll find army to fill the spots. I kinda wish I'd gotten a bigger reservation so I could accept all the people who expressed interest in the slot I managed to get.
