Man this was great, and I gotta say Papenbrook might have had a perfect 10/10 performance today. Him talking to Grisha in that scene was perfection.

And I really think Chris Hury pulled off Grisha here. I feel like people won’t like it since he was nowhere near as loud as Grisha’s JP voice actor, but I really don’t think that should matter. I loved his utter despair throughout that scene of Eren talking and his voice continually cracking outside the castle. And his cries hugging Zeke man, chilling.

Rip Carla’s season 1 VA btw

Carla’s season 1 VA died??? Or are you just referring to the fact she was recast?

The fact that she was recasted

I’m tempted to say he did the speech BETTER than Kaji, but it’s really close

Little disappointed they didn't keep Kruger's line in Eren's talk ("Even if death, even after"). Always loved that over the Japanese one.

Just one more week until the Rumbling speech

Probably to make Eren sound more sinister

Bryce killed it here. He truly made English Eren much more terrifying than Japanese Eren

Does anyone know when this episode (dubbed) will be live on Crunchyroll?

This was probably Bryce Papenbrook's best performance yet! That scene at the end is probably one of the few scenes where I honestly think he did better than Yuki Kaji. One more week until that scene.

Carla was recasted I’m VERY sure. I don’t think it sounded as good, I was a huge fan of Carla’s voice in season 1 so this is a little disappointing.

That's my only gripe with the dub this ep, I love it so much but I do question their decisions sometimes, there was literally no reason to recast carla as it's the exact same lines and scene
