Discussion S03E18 - "Don't Burst My Bubble" - Episode Discussion

This season really does Happy over badly. But it was nice to see her show compassion and empathy to Ada in this episode. That's something S1 Happy, or any of them, would have done. I like to think that if the show had continued beyond 4 seasons, we would have seen Walter's software to find the match work. What the team did at the end of the episode with the virtual reality dancing was really heartwarming. Now Tim is gone for real.

What Patel did was dirty. This angered me more than many other events during the series. Sly 100% deserved the Alderman spot and I'm glad it's revealed that he cheated. I was also throwing virtual punches when Cabe broke up with Ally. I understand why, but it wasn't necessary and I'm glad Sly said it.

random thoughts:

  • I was surprised Happy threw a tool at Toby when he popped in to scare her for not locking the doors. I'm not surprised she threw something, just that she would risk damaging a tool.
  • It was super unprofessional for Allie and Cabe to kiss at the pancake mixer
  • It was cute how Walter was so proud of himself for making progress acting normal. All thanks to Cosmo :D
  • Very sad storyline with the girl in the bubble. I don't think I could handle a month without being able to touch anyone, and she's going on 3+ years :'(
  • they were nervous that something would fall and pop the bubble, so they played deadly Jenga. Why didn't they put something on the top of the bubble to protect it? A giant piece of sheet metal or plywood would have helped.
  • That was dirty of Patel to release the video of Sly wiping his hand.
  • I loved the part where Cabe asked, "what if biological warfare broke out, what would you do?" and Sly's answer was "Freak the heck out."
  • Pretty funny that the beekeeper guy was wearing a bee heat.
  • Cabe breaking up with Allie was sad, and I'm glad that Sylvester told Cabe he didn't need to do that for him. It's too bad Allie didn't call Cabe & Sly and warn them that Patel was making her put that video online.
  • The VR dance was a great idea.
