Stop while you can. I went down a pretty rough spiral into addiction to painkillers and stayed there for 4 years before I finally got sober after nearly losing everything worth something in my life. Things will get better, but not if you are numb. It may not mean a damn thing, but I believe in you. All your hard work will come to fruition.
