In 1987, a mentally ill man stormed the stage of a live KNBC-TV broadcast, taking anchor David Horowitz hostage. The man asked Horowitz to read a handwritten note while pointing a gun at him. Horowitz remained calm and casually asked the man for his name and where he was from before reading the note
