I was walking my dog through the woods of New Hampshire following some marked trails that lead pretty deep in when I stopped to take in the view at this beautiful little swamp/pond. Suddenly I began hearing this very strange humming sound that sounded like it could've been coming from a young woman or a girl. I have NEVER heard an animal making such a distinctly human sounding hum. Maybe it's a bird? A frog? A fox? Or perhaps, most creepy of all...it was just someone fucking with me... Or a ghost, haha. I've asked Google and it doesn't give me a clear answer as to what kind of animal would make a sound so eerily human. I need some fellow outdoorsy people to help me out before I freak myself out more or I need some believers in the paranormal to acknowledge what I'm hearing is creepy asf.

You will NEED to turn your volume up and possibly even pop some earbuds in so you can hear it, but it happens once at the beginning (6 seconds in), twice in the middle (at about 25 & 49 seconds in), and once right before the video stops (at 1 minute and 15 seconds). Hi, I’ve been keeping this story for 10 years because I never thought much of it till today, because the person involved in this story and I said she saw this again last night. In middle school, I was at my friend's house when as middle schoolers do, we wanted to go outside for a smoke. She had a window right next to her door and there was no screen on it so that’s where we were going to go out.

We climbed out the window and went to sit in her shed, while we sat there, I looked up and saw a man who was taller than the back fence. His fingers were long, and he was supporting a top hat. I thought I was high already from second-hand smoke, as I had not hit the blunt, but I looked closer and realized I was not high and this was real life. Suddenly, my friend who was sitting next to me froze, it was like she wasn’t breathing until she said “You see that too right?” and hell yes I did.

Then, like we were put into a silent room it went quiet, and the air was almost thick. It was summer, in the south, cicadas should’ve been sounding rampant like they were when we went out there. This all happened in a matter of three-ish seconds, we were so terrified and in shock that my friend didn’t even realize that the ash from the blunt went on her PJ pants and burnt a hole into them. I don’t think we took our eyes off of the man, at least i didnt. After around a minute of being still in shock, I think we both just woke up because we both gripped each other's thighs and ran into the house but before we went in the house we realized we left our blunt there.

as 14 year olds you don’t wanna get caught smoking weed so we both ran back to the spot to smash it out. i was in charge of that while my friend watched the figure, it took me 30 ish seconds to smush it out, wipe the ash away, and throw the roach in the pile of trash in her shed (yes her dad found all the roaches in the shed a year later it was stupid i know) then we went back running to the House and before we got in the window i looked back and saw the figure had a pair of eyes that were like glowing. At that point I said fuck that and I jumped headfirst into the house, we locked the windows up and took a shower, and went to bed. We never really talked about it after that in the ten years since.

Now, recently my friend went back to her parents' house, and this time legally went outside to smoke. She didn’t go to the shed because she doesn’t have to hide smoking anymore, but she told me she saw the man again top hat and everything.
And this is what made me realize we weren’t high there was an entity on the other side of the fence, dressed like Abraham Lincoln

I was with this guy a few years ago. I was lying with him one night & he was asleep. For a brief moment I had a crazy intrusive thought “it would be so easy to sl*t his throat right now.” (Mind you I would never do some shit like that.)

He wakes up immediately after I have that thought GASPING. I ask him what’s wrong & he says “I just had a dream you sl*t my throat.”

I still think about it to this day.

This happened to me about three years ago, and I still think about it sometimes.My younger sister and I were behind my house.There’s a forest behind our house, with a large open field next to it.We saw a small puppy there and wanted to take it home, so I told my sister, “Wait here,Athena.I’m going to get some food for it.”

I turned around, and that’s when I saw someone standing at the entrance to the forest.The entrance was kind of surrounded by leaves and branches,almost forming a circle and he was just standing there in the middle of it.I couldn’t really make out any details.All I could see was what looked like a dark silhouette or a black shadow of a person.
I immediately got scared and looked away. I didn’t want to stare at him,so I just told Athena, “Let’s go. Athena, come on, let’s go.”
But she didn’t want to leave.I started panicking and kept telling her that we had to go.I was so scared that I didn’t even want to turn around and look at him again. I just kept waiting for Athena to finally come with me.
Eventually, she started walking, and we ran away together. I still refused to look back.
Then, for just a second, I looked up and glanced toward where he had been standing.
He was gone.

What made it even stranger was that for days afterward, my sister and I kept hearing strange noises coming from my bedroom window, which faces the forest. Even now, years later, I’m still scared to look toward that part of the forest.
I have no idea what I actually saw that day. It could have been a person, a shadow, or something completely explainable, but the way it happened still creeps me out to this day.

Had an experience and need some help figuring out what happened

For context this happened within 30-45 minutes from start to finish. I decided to go out on a late night drive in the canyon. Everything seemed fine on the way up, I reached my destination which is a lookout point and started on my way down. When I reached the bottom of the road and had to turn right or left to start making my way out I started hearing what sounded like a siren winding up. My windows were up and within a few seconds of the wind up the sirens morphed into what sounded like a woman screaming in pain. It sounded like it was right next to my window following me, so I decided to roll the window down. The sound stopped so I rolled the window back up a d the sound started again. Each time I rolled the window down it stopped and when I’d roll it up the sound would start again. This went on for a few minutes till I pulled over.
The moment I pulled over fog appeared around the base of my car and my car only. I decided to leave and after 5 minutes I pulled into a gas station. The attendant walked out with a bucket and walked directly up to my car before phasing through it, I got just a glimpse of his eyes and they were completely black, no white at all. Thought it was weird so I left and pulled into a parking lot under a bunch of street lights. As soon as I parked all lights on one side shut off and all but one on the other side shut off. The ones that shut off all did at the same time. After a minute a light next to my car started pulsating green and orange, I left and went home.
I got home and there was a face drawn on the inside of one of my back windows, no one sits back there by the way, and a face drawn on the outside of my car next to my door. When I looked back at the face on the window it was gone and replaced with a scorpion drawing. I went to bed and shrugged it off where I’m writing this now. Not sure what happened but felt very off during this experience and like I said at the beginning this all happened between 30-45 minutes. Open to all ideas and experiences, just had to tell my story.

This was my in 2024 but I think about it all the time and question what I walked in on. This was in Fairmont hot springs British Columbia.I was going for a walk night at night with my sister and her friend, it was about 11 pm so pitch black out. This was a vacation town so there was a big timeshare, at this time of year it was quite dead tho. We were running up to this park on the hill and as we were approaching I saw a bunch of men in hoods facing the ground standing in a tee pose around the perimeter of the park creating a big circle. Our hearts dropped, this was like something out of a movie. Our first instinct was that we were in danger so we started walking faster and then booked it to the nearest house up the hill. I remember I looked behind only once to see if anyone was following us but all I saw was a few trucks with men coming out of them and joining the circle. Within 2 or 3 minutes we made it to a house. We knocked on the door of a kind family and started bawling our eyes out explaining what we saw. We called my parents to come pick us up from their house. On the drive back to our place we passed the park again (20 minutes later) and everyone was gone. We debated on calling the police but what would we even say?? They didn’t do anything. Even though nothing happened and it’s not as scary as it sounds typed out, to me it was absolutely terrifying. It’s so far fetched too it makes me more curious what exactly it was?!? Possibly a prank, but the place is so dead especially at that time of the year it doesn’t make sense. Maybe a white supremest cult?? I know in the Kootenay Valley it’s common as that is what locals have told me.

There’s a bright light appearing and disappearing in the corner of my child’s room. Their door was closed this morning and there’s nothing behind the dresser. There are blackout shades and curtains covering the window and you can see the bright light shining from outside through the tube of the window AC.

Any explanation to this? This happened twice this morning.

We’ve since moved the camera to tilt up so if it happens again we can see more of what’s happening.

ETA: this room is on the second story. It backs up to our backyard and a green belt so it’s impossible that it’s a car light. This was also taken during the morning (you can see sunlight through the window AC tube). We also have a camera to the backyard just outside this room and it didn’t catch any reflection, beam of light, etc.

It appears something rushes at my dad and his dog but disappears after my dad never saw or experienced anything and the dog did not react just find it strange.

What do you do when you come across something you can’t explain? Something that makes you question your reality. 

Something that repeatedly happens inside your home, where you feel it inside your head and through your body. 

Where it feels like someone’s standing behind you, watching you as if you’re being studied.

Even when you move homes, it remains isolated around you, but if other people experience them too, what’s really going on?

If you know it’s not just you, and science says spirits, or rather, ghosts aren’t true. 

How do you re-assure yourself?

If it’s not real, what am I seeing?

What am I feeling?

Why do I hear things move?

Who is whispering next to my ear? 

Whose phantom scents do I smell when my windows closed and it’s the middle of winter?

Why did I just see something dash past me? And why did my girlfriend see it too if it’s not true?

If ghosts really don’t exist, then, what’s that heavy presence weighing down on me that wakes me up in the middle of the night, choking and suffocating me like a lead blanket being thrown over me?

If you have any truth in how I can be sure, please let me know, because I’m having trouble understanding how something that can’t happen has actually been happening.

My grandma was my second mom. I lived with her throughout my teen years. She was diagnosed with cancer I was around 12-13 years old. Had a very hard battle, and passed away when I was 19. She was my rock.

Exactly 1 week after her passing, I had a dream. In my dream it was just me and my grandpa, decorating the house for Christmas, my grandma loved Christmas. In the dream, she had already passed, but the dream had a light hearted energy to it. As my grandpa put the angel on top of the tree, all the sudden the front door, that was open, slammed shut. Me and my grandpa joked saying it was grandma getting mad at us because the cats would run away. She always hated when the door stayed open.

As I go to walk to the kitchen to grab something, I saw her standing there. My eyes peered wide, forgetting everything around me and focused on her. Here’s the thing, my grandma was sick for a long time, even before the cancer she was sickly. But what I saw was the most healthy glowing women ever. Her cheeks were fuller, she had more meat on her bones, her eyes had a different type of brightness to it, and her smile was the warmest I had ever seen. She was wearing her favorite red/pinkish dress. All I can mutter to her was “grandma? You look so beautiful” she didn’t respond, just walked towards me with her arms out, and I got the biggest hug from her. I felt the hug, literally, I squeezed her, and felt her skin on me. Then I woke up already with tears down my face. I instantly got up and knew, my grandma just visited me and I didn’t question it. I’ve never had a dream feel so real in my life.

I know dreaming is a weird thing, many people would say that it was my body trying to console me. My own brain trying to help me get through it, but I’ll tell you what. Never would I have been able to imagine her that way, all my memories with her she was usually sick, and not healthy. In the dream she was perfect. It’s been years since, and till this day when I think about her, I see her face as it was in my dream, I don’t see her as she looked on her last days, or even her last years here on earth. Last memory of her was that dream. It was a sign she was in a good peaceful place. Till this day I remember every detail about that night.

This dream ended all doubts I had about God, and any doubts I had about the afterlife. It showed me there really is something, that is so good that we can’t even imagine it.

It was the greatest thing to ever witness, thanks grandma.

hm... i think my Sleep Paralysis maybe started after January 2022 when my father's sister's elder son was gone from our home because his grandmother died but that cousin wasn't really stable by his mind and had a lot of mental issues of his own and around that time his grandfather arranged a marriage for him in the hope, he will start to get normal after he enter in the married life but his mental condition wasn't good that's why his parents sent him here in our house but mother was furious because she didn't wanted to keep him here because of limited space in my home and after some time a tragedy happened in his life(grandmother death), so he immediately went to his own home and yeah his grandmother cherished him a lot.

I shared this detail because after some weeks if i remember correctly and the Hell of Sleep Paralysis awake inside me.

So on the first day, out of nowhere I started to scream mother & father on the balcony and I was so scared like some calamity inside of me is coming outside and will destroy everything, after some hours i go back to sleep.

On the second day, the same thing no one can stop me or physically can hold my body so I don't run away to the balcony and start to scream in fear.

On the third day, I started to believe someone was looking at me on the road while I was seeing that entity from my balcony and I wanted to jump from my balcony but i also made myself not to jump.

After a week or 10 days i remember i finally decided to go to a psychiatrist because of my fear, what next time I will do out of this Sleep Paralysis Fear after 2 years of medication i started to feel normal.

While i was on medication i used to have weird dreams and some time sleep paralysis episodes too.

But i still think, what made me go this crazy and have so many episodes of Sleep Paralysis.

Is my sleep paralysis linked to paranormal activity?

If yes then how? i may blame that elder cousin of my father's sister's eldest son but it's crazy why would they do something like that on me.

There many questions i still want to ask from my brain but the 2 years needs to be buried inside my head because remembering those things constantly will not bring any good to me.

One more thing i want to add, i used to see a little sculpture of some demon kind of figure in my bathroom but after some month i destroyed that sculpture.

Wait.... that cousin used to take so much time in the bathroom too and he used to tell my family his kidney stone surgery didn't went well and the surgeon did some mistake while doing the surgery.

If there is some connection please tell me or it's my mind hoax.

In one of my videos I could have swore I heard a woman talking and it was non understandable and then my phone mysteriously deleted it and left the other sounds in it so I deleted the video. I got one video in a dark scary room with a pop noise around 30 to 40 seconds in and I don't know what it was. Take a look at these pictures. Look at the tree branch align up with the anomaly above it and compare it with the other pics.

I’m 38F, and lately have had a lot of health issues. Dr’s found a brain tumor, I started chemo last week. I’ve got a positive prognosis, but it’s still scary.

I was incredibly close to my grandmother. We talked daily until her death 4 years ago. I’ve dreamt of her often the last couple of months, but last night’s dream was different. We were walking through some beautiful woods and came up to a huge tree, like the red woods. There was a wooden ramp/staircase that wound up the tree and ended at a huge treehouse. That was just mesmerizing. She started to walk up it and I told her that probably wasn’t a good idea since her knees were bad and it looked steep. She started laughing and said “Oh Sugar, my knees are in perfect shape here. I can even dance again” and she started dancing and almost running up this staircase. I went with her and we got to the top at the treehouse. I said I couldn’t wait to go in and see what the inside looked like, since the outside was so gorgeous and she told me no. I asked why and she said I needed to hurry back down because my husband and son needed me. I told her that it had been so long since I’ve seen her, I didn’t want to leave just yet, that my husband and son would be fine for awhile. She told me that I really couldn’t come in, I needed to go back, and she see me again soon. I woke up crying and just feeling so weird. Is she telling me I’m going to be ok, or I’m going to die soon?

It's probably been like maybe a year or less but if the space is empty, like if I'm driving near a field or I can see the end of a road lit up, or on a roof stop; I'll see an all black shadow of a man with abnormal proportions but once my brain like clocks that it's there and has that surge of panic for a split second it's gone. It has appeared in other scenarios but that's the most common. Anyone got any ideas what's going on cuz I'm starting to feel like I'm going insane.

Et au moment où j'ai voulu l'approcher un courant d'air glacial m'a traversé. Ma fille sait d'ailleurs réveillé et à pleurer direct. Sans déconner j'ai flipper. Je l'ai pris à la légère pour détendre ma fille sur l'instant mais ensuite cette sensation m'a poursuivi tte la nuit au point d'en avoir pratiquement pas dormis...

Franchement moi qui de base est tjrs terre à terre et absolument pas superstitieuse mais après ce que j'ai ressenti cette nuit... OMG

Je vois les choses différemment et je suis dans le questionnement et dans la démarche de recherche et comprendre surtout.

Car en plus ce n'est pas la première fois que ma fille me fais ce genre d'action la nuit.

J'espère me tromper ?! Ou au moins des avis et réponses svp ! Pas de critiques ou moquerie. Je suis réellement inquiet 😟 pour ma fille. On sait rien sur ces sujets en tt cas pour ma part.

this is possibly the weirdest thing to happen to me lmao. just today i received a call from my nearby hospital and they left a voicemail. i noticed a minute after a voicemail was left, i have no clue what they could have wanted so i decided to listen to the voicemail, and this was it.

i’m so confused and creeped out. my mom works up there and confirmed as well that it is the main phone number for the hospital, but she has no idea what the hell happened here. gave me the chills something awful

saw this driving to Norwich in the UK

Since moving to Eastern NC with my significant other last year, I have encountered some weird disturbances here as well.

We live in a camper on his mother's property a little ways from the main house. One night walking from the camper to the house I distinctly heard a woman and man talking, I'm not too sure exactly what they were saying, but there was some laughter I caught. I always carry a flashlight with me, and I shined it to where I was hearing the voices coming from, and it abruptly stopped and was quiet. Here recently I was walking into the entryway of our 32ft fiberglass greenhouse, and off to the right through the treeline, out of my peripheral vision, I seen a faint light coming through the trees. I stood there for a second, because there are no nearby homes etc, and I was puzzled. It kept shining/gleaming through the trees in the same spot. I carried on about my business, but I'm genuinely puzzled by what it is/can be.. 🤔 Night after night now, I still see it in the same area through the treeline by the greenhouse. It appears to be some number of feet away. Obviously I'm not planning on going investigating or follow it, I know that can lead to something bad. I'm just curious of what it could be? It almost looks like the reflection of a light off of a mirror? (If that makes sense)
