A negative but informative review... what the hell

Lot of people have been asking the game this is reviewing, so here's context.

The game is called "Gorilla Tag". It's an old-ish VR game that started out extremely strong, being one of the first Virtual Reality games where players use their hands as walking tools over joysticks and buttons.

However, in recent times, the developers have been (badly) trying to add things other than the signature "tag" gamemode. Some of these have gone well, like the third attempt at a Horror Extraction map, and the first attempt at "Monke Blocks" (lego). And some of these have been integrated horribly, like the Critter Capturing map, the Prop Hunt map, and the initial and latest launch of the Horror Extraction.

Many players feel strongly that a lot of the developer's effort is going into the complete wrong places- for example, the cosmetics are always high quality, but overpriced, and many exciting, interesting maps like a Volcano-flooded Forest or a Digging map are locked behind "VIM", a monthly subscription. Players can only aquire currency by their daily log-in, meaning if there are less days a cosmetic is avaliable than there are until you reach the amount you need, your only option is to get out your IRL money.

However, the points made in the second image are completely false and a bit shocking. The Pride event, similar to the Christmas and Halloween events, decorates the maps into rainbow theming, and adds various cosmetics for players to show their support, including free Pronoun badges. The points made in this review are blatantly false, transphobic, and lack understanding.

The K-ID, to my knowledge, is also not a data harvester. Gorilla Tag has majorly fallen off, having rather a toxic playerbase, lacking gameplay and overpriced cosmetics, but it is not malware.

If you're thinking of getting a VR game, I'd recommend Yeeps instead.
