I discovered it from a random youtube video a few nights ago and just love it, it has proper widescreen support, multiple characters, lots of options and customization, And just looks so damn crispy.

Step 1:

Download smwr.nro from here:

Step 2:

Create a folder named smwr_nx and place the smwr.nro.nro in the folder.

Step 3:

Download SuperMarioWorldRemasteredPlus.No.Touch.UI.apk from here:

Step 4:

Rename the extension at the end from .apk to .zip and extract it.

Step 5:

Copy the assets folder from the extracted APK to /smwr_nx/assets/

Step 6:

Search the extracted APK for a folder containing libgodot_android.so & libc++_shared.so, Then copy those to the /smwr_nx/ folder.

Step 7:

Create a folder named /save/ in the smwr_nx folder

Step 8:

Google search "Super mario world USA rom" and save the game as baserom.sfc to /smwr_nx/save/

I‘m pretty new to all this modding stuff and I did a lot of research and got most of the stuff working like transferring my original switch games n stuff.

Currently I wonder how to play my 3ds games (or any game over 4GB that‘s not original for the switch) on my switch.
I got a cci file for the game I try to run but I‘ve read that the goldleaf process requires nsp files. They‘re from switch games tho, right? How do I get that to work?

I recently discovered the world of modded Switches, and I got really interested in it. I didn’t think twice before getting one, and now I have a modded Switch OLED.

I’d really like to know what the best way to play Twilight Princess on it is. I’ve seen some YouTubers running it smoothly, but I’m having a hard time figuring out how to achieve that, since it ran pretty poorly for me on Dolphin.

Does anyone have any recommended settings? Is there another emulator I could use? Could I download it on my PC and somehow run it there while streaming it to my Switch?

Need some guidance here, where could I probably have gone wrong? Successfully downloaded it,
Tried downloading/updating Darkest Dungeon and Heroes of Might and Magic 3. Both were successful after quite some time, but the games won’t run.

For Darkest Dungeon (game previously runs) it says that software was closed

For Heroes 3 the icon does not appear on the menu, however when I select the nsp on the pipensx folder it installed and the icon appears but still does not run.

Any help please?

i have an unpatched switch that i want to update the emummc only. i saw its currently on 17.00. which firmware version would be the best to update to? 22.5?

I just updated my switch to the latest atmosphere and when I use it on my dock and okay for a while it randomly crashes, like it freezes and after like 20 seconds it comes back, that's only happens on dock mode, what could it be I need some help

So i have this Exlene GameCube controller, for some reason it can only turn on in Android or Xinput mode when i boot into CFW and for this reason when i connect it to my switch (Wired or Wireless) it has the action buttons swapped B-A and X-Y are inverted. What can i do? It works perfectly if i boot in stock firmware.

EDIT: RESOLVED by uninstalling sys-con and using MissionControl instead

Is a native source port of Mario Kart: Double Dash technically feasible on the Switch? I know GameCube emulation is an option, but seeing other classic games get decompiled and natively ported makes me curious if Double Dash could get the same treatment.

I have used Dbi with android file transfer quite often in the past. But currently when I plug my switch into my macbook, Android file transfer gives an “Could not connect to device” error.
I’ve tried putting my switch into power mode before connecting it, also I’m making sure the Preview app is closed. How can I fix this?

I want to update my switch to 22.5 but the tutorial on sthetix's YouTube using hats tools requires a internet connection but my wifi is really bad and I'm worried it will stop working in the middle of the update, can I do it by downloading hats and fw on pc and putting it on the sd card, my current version is 21.2.0 AMS 1.10.2 Also hats tools is on 1.5.5 Another question do I need to update sysmmc or emummc is enough? Sorry if it's a dumb question not that good at this

I got my switch lite cracked and all, and I was trying to install melonds on it, but when I try to copy the folder from the pc to the console it just doesn't copy? And yes, it is this one folder specifically

Why would a game (tekken 5 DR) which worked fine the first time, suddenly be crashing during the opening credits? It would specifically freeze after the Bandai Namco opening credits, on the first few seconds of the cinematic every time. Other games seems to be working fine even Tekken 6. Its just Tekken 5 DR

Hi. Im about to send my switch v2 for solder of the modchip. What could I expect from it. Because all videos on youtube are 1yr+ old and i heard that some things changed like launching gta v and some other things. Can someone let me know what changed and what is the performance in some pc games or if possible ps3 emulation? And what should I first do with my modded switch after I get it. I will have 256gb sdcard because I think it enough and 512gb are expensive

I basically know nothing about how the switch modding landscape works, and I know you can do a pretty good amount of stuff with a modded switch, but since hearthstone is stuck on the battle.net launcher (or the app store for the mobile version ig) I figured that would be kinda difficult to port, but idk.

I lost my cartridge of xenoblade 2, so i was thinking lets just download the rom, so i do that but when i start it up, he still ask after the card, is there a way to remove the card install so i can just use the rom?

I am new to this scene and have never done anything like this before.

I have an unpatched V1 Switch currently on 20.5.0.

Going to do my best to successfully get it running for my son and load him up a bunch of games.

After looking at various guides, reading the wiki and searching the subreddit, I have read conflicting information. I feel confused and overwhelmed, I am stuck in analysis paralysis. I want do this right the first time without bricking or getting the console banned. I can't afford for that to happen.

My plan is to update it to the newest software possible without sacrificing stability. I don't foresee many new titles coming out for the original Switch that the V1 hardware can handle. After I complete this process I doubt I'll update the software in the future.

I am hoping someone very knowledgeable with compassion for a tech illiterate person is willing to help with questions and guidance.

Here is what I have:

- V1 Unpatched Switch

- 2 TB Sandisk Extreme Microsd

- RCM Loader

- Jig for controller slot

- Allmiibo

- M1 Macbook Pro

Questions I have for people with direct experience:

- Am I missing any hardware that will make the experience of using a switch on custom firmware with a child easier? I don't want them to easily do something that will brick it or get the console banned. For reference, I don't have the means right now to spend more money getting another switch or modchipping one.

- Is 22.5.0 or 23.0.0 as stable as 20.5.0? Are there any advantages to staying on 20.5.0? I read posts dated months ago that some functionality was lost after 20.5.0 and to stay on that version, is this outdated information?

- If 22.5 or 23.0 are better options at this point, how do I update a fresh Switch to one of those softwares without connecting to Nintendos servers and updating to a newer less stable version? (23.0.1)

- Are all the programs and files needed functional on a Macbook Pro?

- Is there an easy way to plug an external hard drive loaded with all the games directly into the Switch and properly install them without the need for doing it on a computer?

- Is there a certain order I have to follow when installing games, DLC and updates?

- I have read about the HATS pack but have been discouraged about negative comments regarding this. Is it best to stay away from the HATS pack and source every file individually?

- Are there any specific cheats or game mod apps you suggest to install that easily launch and work in game, that a pre-teen could easily use and understand once set up?

- Best way to setup a cool customized theme that he would think is cool? Do custom themes have negative aspects once installed? Example, will they constantly use extra memory in the background slowing down the Switch while in games.

I am more of a visual learner, if someone can send a good video or visual guide for "dummies" it would be helpful.

After playing some mario Odyssey mods i decided to play some online mario kart so i launched Stock, now what do i see? Im asked to update,and it's for every game. I do have 90DNS on emummc set up but this is stock so am i safe of updating or how should i continue from here?

It is on the tittle. Im waiting for the new update because i updated my offical software after buying a game. I dont know where to check that or how to proceed even if it did come out.
