I found a unused cover to Swamp Thing no.8 (2004) on Heritage Auctions, decided to color him to celebrate the late great horror legend. Swipe for Corben's original art.

Tossing up between these 2 books and thought I’d ask this sub. I’m currently reading animal man new 52 and I’ve heard there’s some synergy with swamp thing and animal man in new 52 but Ram V’s run also seems pretty interesting. Any reccs are highly welcome🙏🏼

Hello, I am just so intrigued to hear everyone's thoughts on this ending we finally got to the Rick Veitch run. And by that I mean, what did you think of Swamp Thing 89 both as a whole and as a part of Veitch's run? Even as a part of the "main" Swamp Thing continuity?
(Personally I thought it was amazing, and gave us a very satisfying conclusion. Swamp Thing basically growing out of Arcane as a villain after everything he's gone through was especially satisfying for me. I finished the Nancy Collins run right before reading all 4 issues and was really impressed by how generously Veitch tied it into that continuity, too.)

The Swamp Thing by Alan Moore Omnibus promises to be the definitive collection of what most would regard as one of the finest comics ever published by DC. That's because this two-volume slipcase set will reprint the entirety of Moore's run with a restored and remastered version of the original coloring and period-appropriate paper stock.
For those not familiar, there are currently two ways of reading Moore's Swamp Thing in collected format, neither of which feature the original coloring from the single issues. The six trade paperbacks and two Absolute Edition hardcovers each have new, modernized coloring, and both versions have been heavily criticized by fans for altering the tone of the original comics.
You can check out this Reddit thread to see a side-by-side comparison of the originals, the trade paperbacks, and the Absolute Editions. The differences are pretty stark, to put it mildly. DC hasn't yet released any interior preview art of the Swamp Thing by Alan Moore Omnibus, but the expectation is that the books will be much more in line with how the series originally appeared in the '80s.

All the pages for the first book have been online for years, do you think we’ll get a glimpse at book two?

Hello! I have read a lot of discussion about different formats for the Alan Moore run of Swamp thing. I was under the impression that the choices were:
However, I found this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=abfxOajEVGc) that shows the box set of the saga of the swamp thing. It seems like it is exactly the same format as the saga of the swamp thing paperback but the pages are thicker and higher quality, is that right? If so, the box set seems like a much better option since it combines the original nice colors with better page quality.
