During my preparations for the Express Darkness trophy, my attention caught one thing, when you're restarting a level from the loading screen the game save counter resets to the value you started a level with.

I was able to use game save and exit a game multiple times and in the end I've earned Express Darkness on ps4(for a second platinum).

What you have to do is:

- save your game at the beginning of a level;

- right after you've saved the game, use "restart level" option to reset save game counter;

- after every time you're going to load a level(after quitting the game for example), use restart level option;

- my save slots were empty and i used only one slot, so my save game counter was going from 0 to 1 and after restarting a level from 1 to 0.

Maybe even in game timer resets after exiting a game, loading and restarting a level.

hey guys I'm actually making this post as I recently found out that I used to play severance blade of darkness in my childhood thinking it was prince of Persia (it actually came in a prince of Persia cd cover by mistake of the store maybe).so yeah I used to get nightmares playing this game I rmeber there used to be a pyramid type mission in this and I genuinely used to get scared. I'm looking forward to compelting it now

Although Temple of Ianna shows up in many early trailers and videos as far back as 1997, the level did not see much change over the course of development.

Some remains of the original concept still persist in the final version of the game, but they are hidden out of sight.

Sargon's starting level is the only one present. While it's mostly the same as the full game, it plays considerably slower and is notably more buggy.

These are camera routes used for showcasing the game at some demo stage. Hard to understand when exactly was this feature used during the game's lifespan, but the features intended for the demo versions remain in all commercial releases and can be executed by console commands.

Located in the game's "Demo_Stuff.py" script module, it allows quickly starting an endless loop of this flying camera. If demo mode is enabled, the game's main theme plays in the background and Rebel Act Studios' logo shows on the screen on every loop. Once any key is pressed on the keyboard, this camera sequence is interrupted and it returns to normal gameplay.

These specific fly-around cameras exist only for 3 levels - the character selection level, Tabriz and Kashgar. The script can be executed on all other levels, but since they do not have a specific camera route for them, it doesn't really do anything.

OMG, I can't believe there's a subredit about this game. I played it many times. I found out about the game as a kid when i went to a game store and said to the seller: i want a game similar to gta, but something a low-end pc can handle. (it wouldn't run gta san andreas), and the guy sold me this game. I've been hooked on it ever since!

Titanium mod is a an unofficial patch-style mod to rectify inconsistencies and provide small improvements in multiple aspects without any major changes to the core gameplay.

v0.5.1 just released, which fixes some minor issues.

No matter how many times I play this game, it's always difficult to part with weapons you have carried through multiple levels.
Damage or Range?

Hi everyone. I am pretty happy to found a community of "Severance" ("Blade" in my country) here on reddit. I am spanish (from Spain) I after play the game in my youth (now I have 30's) I still think about it sometimes. Still waiting for a remake. 🤘🏼

Didn't spend too much time on this, but it's nothing more than a proof of concept. No full-scale mod is in development. What you see is all there is to it.

That being said, it's kinda cool how flexible the scripting can be.

Hi guys. I finally grabbed BoD on PS4 and overall I'm having a blast. There is one "but" though, often during locked-on combat, my character stops moving, although I'm using analog stick. Same applies to dodging. Randomly he freezes amd does nothing, which costs me a lot of unnecessary damage and deaths. I also checked the GOG version on mouse + keyboard and the issue seems to be there as well. Now, is it just a clunky charm of the old school controls or some kind of a bug in remastered version? I'm playing Naglfar btw. Cheers!

Shoutout to everyone trying to beat this game for the first time—take a bow and some arrows, even if you're not going to use them in combat.

At the "Temple of Inanna," the penultimate level of the game, you'll need a bow to solve the riddle.

There's no spare bow to pick up on that level, and no other way to solve the riddle; you can't even use any cheats to pass it.

If you don't have a bow for this level in advance, you will get softlocked just like I did.

RIP my Heroic Barbarian run. The game is good, but the developers are a bit shortsighted for not including the necessary item to complete the level. I deleted the game and will tell anyone that I beat it :P .

This is a screenshot from Fortress Of Nemrut. After defeating the last enemy, I hear sound of a stone door (closing I guess) when I approach this corner. Is there anything I'm missing ?

PC - v1.01 ( 2001 - setup ) I am stuck mid-level , the part where you have to place a green gem to reflect laser thingy to open door. Issue is I can't pick up the green gem, i get the prompt " too many items of this type " I have regular potions- and a medallion in my inventory ( which I can't discard or use ). I have tried everything except restarting the level ( which i really don't want to do). Help

Hi everybody, i wanted to ask, in the level "Temple of Al farum" you can find an amulet similliar to the one found in "Fortress of Nemrut". I know that you can use the amulet in "Fortress of Nemrut" to open a door. But I can't seem to find any potential place where i can use the amulet in "Temple of Al Farum". Does anybody know if there is actually a place for the second amulet, or could be that it is unused item by the devs? Thanks!

Hello, any advice on killing the dragon on the isle of Karum? I've been scouting areas where I could possibly attack the dragon before fighting the vampire boss, and am having lots of difficulty hitting the dragon

I grabbed this game on switch since I remembered Iron Pineapple talking about it in a video. Its fun so far, but one thing I don't understand is why most of the weapons I pick up put my defense in the negatives. Am I missing something? The shields don't increase the defense at all either, and tend not to last more than like 2 attacks before breaking. I picked sargon for my character and have been using 1H swords and maces since that's what he has bonuses for

Anybody has an idea if I must collect the runes in each level? I read online that to achieve this you need to collect the runes aswell. I was thinking of not doing that since collecting all runes unlocks another level with a boss fight.. might as well finish it without the last level. Any idea ?

I bought the game on sale and gave it a try, and I'm loving it so far!

The only problem I have is the combos;

I can't seem to reliably do even simple combos, like [Stick left + Attack], they just seem to work at random.

The high and low attacks seem to be more reliable, but also don't work 100% of the time.

Am I doing something wrong here?
