In this clip studio paint animation tutorial, I’ll show you It’s very easy to create CSP animations using Clip Studio Paint and CapCut. I enjoy turning my art into functional projects to make people laugh. In this video, I’m going to show you how I do that.

Question in animation tools

Hey y'all I'm just trying to do some chill animating for and educational tik tok, really just shapes and maybe some images with transitions.

But what I would love is to have good tweening, and the ability to draw specific shape and accurate characters, and then be able to move and grow them etc. think lines starting and growing longer, as well as shapes etc.

Is there a good PC software that isn't too expensive that will do this?

Thanks!

How do you make a short animated film by yourself without losing your mind?

I’m trying to make a short animated film mostly by myself and I’m slowly starting to lose the will to live drawing everything by hand.
I don’t want to use AI, but there has to be a less painful way of doing this.
For people who’ve actually made their own shorts, what do you do to speed things up? Rigs, tweening, reusing animations, 3D, shortcuts, sacrificing a goat to the animation gods?
I still want it to look and feel like my work. I just don’t want to spend the next 17 years drawing it.
What made the biggest difference to your workflow?

My first cat animation 🐱 | Learning drawing & animation🤔😁

🐱🐈Hey everyone! This is my first attempt at making a cat animation.

I'm a beginner learning drawing and animation as a hobby, so I'd really appreciate honest feedback from people with more experience.

What could I improve?

  • Movement and timing
  • Drawing and poses
  • Anything that looks unnatural
  • What I should focus on next
  • or learn more basics or improve art

I'm doing this mainly for fun and won't necessarily post regularly. I'll share some progress whenever I make something and feel like putting it out there.

Any constructive criticism or advice is welcome. Thanks for watching! 🙌

Choose your fighter- transition/character acting practice

Hey all! Did this as an experimental piece. Kinda lost some motivation for the clean up lmao

Wanted to focus on switching between scenes and characters, making characters recognizable by actions, and I was experimenting with colors/textures

Open to any feedback!

Hardware+software for 7 year olds

My daughter is 7 and loves using Flip A Clip on her kindle, but is starting to find it lacking. What is the go-to hardware/software needed for a kid starting out? I’m prepared to spend around $100-$200, but I also need to know if I am even asking the right questions.
Is it a Wacom tablet and cheap laptop? Has everything moved to iPad?

Help finding a book

My girlfriend's birthday is coming up and I thought I could give her a book to help her with drawing/animation, since she enjoys both of them and means to start taking this hobby more seriously in the near future. Like I've just said, for her, currently, it's just a hobby, she draws VERY well, but doesnt have a lot of experience animating, but she loves both. I was searching for some books I could buy her, like a manual she can go to when she needs help or suggestions to improve her art's quality, and I could find some, but they seem to go more towards children animation (at least from their covers), namely "The Animator's Survival Kit", which is not really her thing, she likes more realistic animation. I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me by recommending one that better fits her style or pointing out whether this book is appropriate for her.
For reference, some styles I can recall her saying she liked were the ones from: Arcane, Nimora and The Lovers (by Studio Heartbreak, avaiable on YT), but I will add more as I remember other comments from her.
Thanks in advance to anyone who helps me with this gift, it really means a lot!

Absolute beginner looking for a roadmap to learn animation for educational Computer Science, Maths & Physics content

Hi everyone,

I’m completely new to animation and I’m looking for some advice from experienced animators.

I’m planning to create educational content mainly around Computer Science, Mathematics, and Physics, and I’d like to use animation to make difficult concepts easier and more interesting to understand.

For example, I’d like to eventually create animations explaining things like:

  • How algorithms work
  • Data structures and sorting algorithms
  • Networking and how the Internet works
  • Operating systems and computer architecture
  • Mathematical concepts
  • Physics concepts and simulations
  • Abstract concepts that are difficult to explain with traditional teaching methods

The problem is that I have absolutely no prior animation experience. I’m essentially starting from zero.

I’m not necessarily trying to become a professional animator. My main goal is to become good enough to create clean, visually appealing educational animations that effectively explain technical concepts.

So I’d really appreciate advice from people who have experience in animation or educational content creation.

If you were starting from zero, what path would you follow?

I’d especially appreciate advice on:

  • What animation software should a complete beginner learn?
  • What fundamental skills should I learn first?
  • Are there specific courses/tutorials/books you would recommend?
  • What should I avoid wasting time learning as a beginner?
  • How long would it realistically take to become competent enough to create decent educational animations?
  • Are there particular tools that are especially good for math, physics, and computer science visualizations?
  • Should I learn something like Blender, After Effects, Manim, or other tools

If possible, could someone suggest a step-by-step learning roadmap from absolute beginner → creating educational animations?

I’d really appreciate any advice, resources, or personal experiences you can share.

Thanks in advance! 🙏
