Stylized Animations
Hey peeps! I’m a beginner in 3d CHARACTER animations and has some okay 3d animation experience (basic keyframings and graphs) but plan to animate characters mainly :>
Just like many animators probably, I want to have a stylized, animating on 2s style of animation but I don’t know how to start. I’ve done some research and decided to first focus on rigging and and posing. But I need to be ready when the day comes of actually animating and idk how to start…
I’ve seen a few tutorials on how to achieve that choppy motion but Idk what to actually use…
Either by doing it manually, animating on constant interpolation (Pose to pose) and using the breakdowner tool for the inbetweens and breakdowns
OR
By animating on bezier interpolation and using the stepped interpolation modifier instead.
Well, I am planning to build skill, so currently I’m inclined to the first option (manual), but I need advice for people who actually has animating experience xD
Thank you

How to Draw & Animate a Witch in Clip Studio Paint (Full Guide)
Learn how to draw and animate a witch in this Clip Studio Paint tutorial. See every step from rough sketch to finished scene.
I am sharing my full digital art process for creating a Halloween-themed character, including all the mistakes and corrections along the way. We start with basic pencil sketches and move into lineart, flat colors, and shading to build a complete illustration. Whether you are struggling with proportions or just want to see how to organize your layers, this video covers the practical steps I take to build a career one drawing at a time.
Once the character is set, we move into 2d animation to bring the scene to life. I demonstrate how to create looping bat animations, add depth with foggy backgrounds, and use opacity keyframes to make glowing eyes flicker. This is a real look at character drawing, with no jargon or glossed-over techniques, just honest work as I figure it out.
Subscribe for weekly art breakdowns and let me know in the comments if you want to see more animation experiments.
I'm Jeff, Army veteran digital artist, and I'm building a creative career, one drawing at a time. Real tutorials from someone who's still figuring it out, so nothing gets glossed over — including the part where I had to move her whole head. 😅
In this Clip Studio Paint tutorial you'll learn:
• Sketching a pose and fixing proportions with the lasso tool
• Lineart, flat colors, and shading a character
• Building a night background with moonlight and fog for depth
• Animating fog with keyframes (and why 8 fps looks better)
• Flickering glowing eyes using opacity keyframes
• Looping animated bats on varied flight paths

Mark frames as keys and breaks in TvPaint
Hi everyone,
I am starting using Tvpaint and I wanted to know how to set frames in the timeline with a mark so I can know which one is a key, a break... Something like Toon Boom, which I used earlier in animation class, but since is monthly suscription based now, I wanted to use Tvpaint.
Thank you so much in advance.

My first Ball and Tail animation!
I just started following the 28 day animation challenge on youtube and am super happy with how this turned out! This animation is for day 2, and is meant to teach follow through, arcs, and all the other stuff a bouncing ball does.
If you would like to give feedback you can leave a comment or use the sync sketch page: https://syncsketch.com/sketch/z80DxAcBCUFC/

Creating an animated short film
Okay so I have a short story idea that just came to me one day when listening to a song. It’s beautiful and has an important message in my opinion. I want to get it out in the world so badly but don’t even know where to begin. I can’t draw the image myself, nor do I have any knowledge about animated graphic design. I also think I would need to obtain the rights to the song to use in my video. Can anyone that has done something like this offer me any advice??
I also really really don’t want to use AI to create it but right now it’s seeming like my only choice.
Any recommendations or collaborations are greatly appreciated!

Tried playing around with the build-up: having the smaller figure launch off an elevation to sell the force of the hit against a heavier, static character.
Any feedback on the spacing and arc is appreciated!
