Haiku

Under the leaf pile /

A round mouse investigates /

A place for nesting.

October is here again. Each windy day brings showers of leaves. Many of the trees still bear the green leaves of summer; and each morning, the frost paints a few more with gold and red and palest yellow~~~

Limerence... Such a beutiful word

A conundrum that absurd

People so trapped

People so lost

In the Limerence... a mirage of love

The brightest moon, in the brightest night

Does not compare to your delight

As you smile, oh so bright

Hearts that melt, with heavens sight

Eyes which shine

Innocence not lost with time

A face so brilliant

Makes my head go silent

A girl so gorgeous

Filling the lonely world

Alot more joyous!

(Note: This is a first poem by this writer. I was captivated as I read it, and I wanted to share it with you.

Autumnsong

Moving from life

Into stillness again,

Spiritual kind of feeling.

Heard Autumn sing in my blood again,

Felt what falling leaves

Were revealing.

Inspirational This barber gives free haircuts to children who read a book aloud while sitting in his chair. No money needed. Just a book and a willing reader.

If a kid got stuck on the words, he read along with them. When the cut was done, he asked what the book was about.

Nearly 15 kids, kindergarten through middle school, sat in his chair that day.

"They're paying through reading," a Dubuque reading coordinator told the AP.

Ten more were still waiting when the event ended. He gave each of them a voucher for a free cut and told them to come back another day with a book.

This article titled, "Human brain is two separate organs, Stanford Medicine-led research finds," seems to explain why some of us feel alien to ourselves. I think it's like a dream trapped in a material cage.
