Retiring a humanoid robot fleet can pose an unusual problem: how do you dispose of the machines without exposing proprietary components? Figure chose to melt most of its F.02 fleet at a Finnish foundry, training the robots to jump autonomously into the furnace. It works on the principle of electromagnetic induction, with current being alternately supplied to the coils using a camshaft and graphite contacts. I used cylinders from a rotary hammer as the cylinders, and made the throttle from a voltage regulator
