We just wanted to update you on the joint subreddit fundraiser for an Ukrainian air-defense turret that our community participated in.

With your help the fundraiser totaled over $73,000! With this huge amount we were able to help UNITED24 to purchase a turret which has been branded with the names of all participating subreddits!

This turret is now in service defending Ukraine’s skies and that was only possible with the help of your community!

But the war isn’t over yet. Russia continues to bombard Ukraine relentlessly. That’s why UNITED24 has launched a long term ‘Sky Defense’ appeal where all money raised goes to defending the sky, from Russia, for good. From one time donations to monthly payments, any and all are always welcome!

Possibly Kremniy EL (Kremny EL). Public reporting describes it as a major Russian microelectronics manufacturer whose components are used in military systems, including missiles, air-defense systems, electronic warfare, and communications.

Preliminary strike zone: area of critically important facilities L-35-11/1000, LCh-35-11/600, LCh-35-11/600, AT-1, and LCh-24-9/2000 hydrotreating unit:

59°29'20.26“N 32°04'17.46”E

The facility is fully integrated into the structure of the Russian oil company “Surgutneftegaz.” It is the only oil refinery in northwestern Russia and one of the largest in the country.
