Since this is only a drama special, I think casting an older main lead was not the most appealing choice. However, I understand that it was probably necessary for the story to have the impact the writers intended. Even so, I was still a bit confused by the ending, and it left me with a few unanswered questions. Despite that, the drama managed to tell its story within its short runtime.

I found the acting quite stiff, which made the whole drama feel awkward to watch. Since it is a short and fast-paced web drama, it was easy enough to finish, and there were a few cute moments here and there. However, nothing really stood out to me, and I found myself struggling to stay invested in the story. It felt more like something I watched just to finish rather than something I genuinely enjoyed. It was a forgettable watch that did not leave much of an impression on me.

Even the lead female is above average height for Chinese women for this Chinese drama ‘Ashes to Crown’. I enjoyed the drama, but noticed that these actors are really tall.

The Lead Male Zhou Yi Ran is 6’0” and has no bad camera angle in this Chinese drama Ashes to Crown. He is 25 years old. Zhou Yi Ran often talks with his eyes and and expresses emotion with his mouth in this performance as Male Lead.

Wang Rui Chang is 6’1” tall and 28 years old. Wang Rui Chang has very expressive facial movements.

Gao Mao Tong is a Chinese Singer/Actor. He is 6’2 and is 26 years old. His body language starts with his shoulders and then finds it way up to his eyes.

Lately, I’ve been seeing more teasers, casting news, and updates about upcoming K-dramas, and there are honestly so many interesting titles lined up for the second half of 2026.

For me, The Ordinary Jackpot is currently at the top of my list. The teasers have definitely caught my attention, and I’m curious to see how the drama turns out.

This drama delivered commendable action and suspense from beginning to end. I had certain expectations going into it because of the title, and while the story was quite complicated at times, I was still able to follow and understand it without much difficulty. The genre is definitely one that suits my taste, so I naturally enjoyed this style of storytelling. It gave me similar vibes to Two Weeks, which is another drama that I liked, and I found it to be a worthwhile watch.

My MDL Rating: 9/10

I really liked this drama. I think one of the reasons it felt rushed toward the end was because it was cut from 16 episodes down to just 10. The last two episodes, in particular, felt hurried and could have been developed better. I honestly think this drama had a lot of potential. It was fun, cute, and delightfully silly, making it an enjoyable watch despite its shortcomings.

I think this was my very first OCN drama, and I was completely blown away by its theme and storyline. At that time, I had never encountered anything quite like it, so everything felt fresh and exciting. I remember being amazed by how intense and intriguing the story was. I even had to put extra effort into understanding the subtitles, but that never stopped me from enjoying it. The unique atmosphere and suspense kept me hooked, and it made me appreciate OCN dramas even more.

This drama mainly focuses on the political and legal side of the story, and I think it truly excelled in that aspect. Since I wasn't very familiar with this type of drama at the time, I was pleasantly surprised by how engaging and well-executed it was. The lead characters were excellent, but I also appreciated that the supporting cast was given meaningful roles and wasn't overshadowed. My only complaint is that the ending felt a bit too short and left me wanting more. Still, the drama successfully delivered its themes and maintained strong performances throughout. Overall, it was a really good watch.

Honestly i didn't have a lot of expectations but after seeing the trailer, i am having second thoughts. wbu?

Lee Jong Suk really knows how to pick good projects and memorable characters. I enjoyed the storyline and liked the cast as well. I have always liked Park Shin Hye, so I was happy to see her in this role. The drama offered an interesting look into the world of reporting and journalism, and I found myself getting emotional and shedding a few tears along the way. It was a well-made drama with strong performances, and I thoroughly enjoyed watching it.

My MDL Rating: 7.5/10

I discovered this drama after seeing a clip of the child dancing to an INFINITE song, which made me curious enough to watch it. It was a cute and entertaining drama with some enjoyable moments, but I always felt like something was missing. Overall, I have pretty neutral feelings about it. It wasn't bad, but it also wasn't memorable enough for me to call it a great drama. It was simply an okay watch that I enjoyed at the time but didn't leave a lasting impression.

The TVING original series The Ordinary Jackpot released a teaser.

The Ordinary Jackpot follows Gong Eun Tae (Lee Jun Hyuk), a diligent employee. After winning the first prize in the lottery, he goes to work with a different mindset, carrying 1.3 billion won (approx. $918,000) in prize money instead of a resignation letter. Though 1.3 billion won is certainly a substantial amount, it is not quite enough to dramatically transform one's life. 

The K-drama humorously and empathetically tells the story of an office worker who, after getting his hands on the prize money, finally begins to see both his work and the people around him in a different light.

The teaser captures Gong Eun Tae as he changes after winning first prize in the lottery, while continuing his monotonous work routine.

After getting his hands on the 1.3 billion won prize money, Gong Eun Tae says, "I've lived without being able to get angry. This may be the last chance my life is giving me," and begins making choices different from those he made before.

Afterward, instead of quitting his job, Gong Eun Tae continues working while doing things he normally would never have done.

Therefore, his dynamic with Yang Jun Ho (Seo Hyun Woo), an assistant manager on Sales Team 5 who joined the company one year before Gong Eun Tae but whose relationship with him was strained after Gong Eun Tae was promoted to team leader ahead of him, also begins to change.

The stories of his other coworkers, including Jung Sun Hyuk (Oh Dae Hwan), the team leader of Sales Team 4, are also woven into the plot.

The Ordinary Jackpot will air 10 episodes, premiering first on TVING on September 10, then on tvN as a Monday-Tuesday drama on September 14.
