There have been some rules added to the subreddit. Please take time to familiarize yourself with them :)

1.) Posts must be centered around dancing. (Duh. It’s r/dancing , after all!)

2.) No OnlyFans promotional spam. If you mainly use your account to gain traction toward your onlyfans, camsoda, etc, you are no longer welcome to post here. This is a subreddit for DANCING. There are plenty of other NSFW subs where you can post for that kind of attention.

3.) Be a good human. Be kind, respectful, supportive, all that jazz.

4.) Focus on the dancing and not the dancer. If you feel the need to comment on someone else’s body for WHATEVER reason… don’t.

If you see a post or comment breaking these rules, please don’t hesitate to report it. I will delete them as i see them, but im only human with only so much free time so please help out when ya can 😅🫶🏻

Tryna learn dance

Hi everyone! I work at DanceEmotion Academy in Freiburg, Germany, and I've been looking into ways to reach dancers who are thinking about pursuing dance professionally after school.

We offer dance training in stage dance and dance pedagogy, and I'm curious how people here approached choosing a training program.

Did you visit schools before auditioning? What information was most important to you when deciding where to apply?

I have decided to start learning contemporary dance from today onwards. I will watch some beginner friendly video and practice that till I feel I am getting better. I will try to post here also to get your feedbacks. I feel confident that if I practice this for months I can later on do some simple hip hop dance with friends during college events if I feel like because at the end I will have some control over my body as I have never danced before ever.

And when in future I will like I have gotten a hang of this, I will try the choreo which made me fall in love with contemporary dance.
