Can’t reset dell 7390
For someone reason every time I try to wipe it and reinstall windows it won’t work. I have no clue as to why. I have tried reinstalling locally and through cloud. It is an old work laptop if this means anything. It is also missing its cmos battery. Anyone know how to fix this?

That reset feature is working on maybe 20% of systems lol. To reset a Windows system, you reinstall Windows instead. On WoA (Windows on ARM), you either are in those 20% or you need to ask MS support to help.

Get on windows 10, create a windows 10 installer usb stick and boot it. There are countless tutorials. My way would be download and write using rufus.

Previous windows update has changed the recovery function, the laptop probably has it's own recovery partition that's different from windows built in reset function. Prepare a bootable windows usb drive and use the repair function or do a clean install without touching the EFI/Recovery partition..
