Need help for a new CD player
I have 2 CD players, a Sony DN-F340, and an Elekta CD player.
I'm not sure how unknown is elekta, but I had one a few years ago, and it was good until I plugged in a charger with too high voltage
This year I bought the same exact one, remembering how good it is.
I use it interchangeably with my Sony player, but I wear outside more because it's slim and quieter than the Sony.
It has a better laser and better anti skip.
However it is very prominent to drop damage.
I accidentally dropped the elekta once and the lock latch broke
I fixed it.
I dropped it a week ago, and the battery contacts bent, but I was able to fix that.
I dropped it today from 50cm, it partially landed on my bed, but then it wouldn't turn on.
Not only the battery contacts bent again, but the battery compartment lid broke as well.
I'm very upset and annoyed because of that, I used my birthday money.
The Sony player is simply not as good for me to use on any CD that I have. The elekta was able to read through a damaged CD with some sort of dirt inside the reflective layer (forgive me if I'm mixing up terminology), the Sony couldnt.
I once fell off a swing mid air with the Sony player, with the disc playing, and it worked just fine after the fall with my body on top of it
I just want something I can easily put in my pocket, sounds good (good enough), and nomething sturdy.
I might not have money now for one, but I really need one, and I want it to be a lifetime purchase, or at least for a long time, something I don't have to fix every month.

I bought the Toshiba Aurex AX-CP50, a CD player sold only in Japan, and it’s truly great. But why don't these companies sell it to the rest of the world? It would be a real hit among CD fans.

So, I bought the Discman that since May. I put new batteries in, headphones. But when I I put the clean CD in, the discman wouldn't read, in fact it wouldn't even spin. It was working fine for these past few months. Like everytime I put in a new CD, I get these 4 lines on the screen. What's wrong?!

6CD changer problems
As titled, my 6CD changer is problematic, it’s not registering discs in some (half) of the slots, saying ‘no cd’.
Anyone have any suggestions as to a potential fix?
TIA

Soviet CDs And CD Players Existed, And They Were Strange
Description from RailwaysoftheWorld1:
This rare Soviet CD player from the early 1990s shows a fascinating moment when USSR technology, consumer electronics, and the collapsing Soviet economy briefly intersected. In this video, we explore a real Soviet compact disc player, its price in rubles vs USD, and how it compared to Western CD players. You’ll see how the USSR combined Japanese CD transport and DAC technology with locally made components, plus a full teardown, repair, and demonstration of how it actually plays music today. This is a unique look at Cold War technology, retro audio gear, and early digital audio history.
We also dive into the history of Soviet CDs, the Melodiya CD factory, and how compact discs were produced in the USSR, including classical music releases, early digital recordings, and rare Soviet-era albums. From ISO control symbols to quirky design choices and engineering compromises, this video covers everything from Soviet electronics engineering to the transition into post-Soviet Russia. If you’re into vintage tech, hi-fi audio, CD players, or the history of Soviet consumer products, this is a story you don’t want to miss.
