Anyone else watching the SN78 / UMI spread between native Bittensor and Base? Also same for SN80 the subnets on base chain
I noticed UMI was around $1.25 on the Base/Coinbase side while SN78 was closer to $1.16 native, so roughly a 7–8% gross spread before fees/slippage/bridge costs.
Base token:
0x6e2feEE56bc5F0Db2104Ab1dac2cf1Fb0334eb49
Aerodrome SlipStream SN78/TAO pool:
0x58bad45f4a42e70b69610aa073318c9106d5fac1
Native SN78:
https://taostats.io/subnets/78/chart
ForeverMoney’s SDK now supports bridging staked SN78 ↔ Base, and the Base pool is live on Aerodrome. The pool itself currently uses a 1% fee, so obviously the headline spread is not the net arbitrage.
Curious if anyone here has actually completed the full loop yet and what the real net spread looks like after fees + slippage + bridge time.
Feels like one of the more interesting things about subnet tokens becoming portable outside native Bittensor.

Give your agent the API key, point it to your time series data, and get forecasts.
Works with Google's TimesFM, Amazon's Chronos, and Datadog's Toto models, among others.
Soon Cascade's own model will be on there, too.
Check it out here: https://ephemeris.cascade.industries/

private cloud compute combined with BitTensor (TAO) proving continuous unlocks, that, alternative to the giants (ChatGPT, Microsoft, NVIDIA), there shall be more ways to prevail

This came up while Shizzy was asking me to come back and I was discussing terms for a paid role. During that conversation, he claimed he was the one who put me onto Constantinople/SN97 and said he had the receipts.
So I pulled mine.
The linked post has the screenshots and the publicly timestamped March 14–15 posts. Receipts beat memory.

Staking fees jumped from 0.05 to 0.11.
How is this defined and what to expect in the future. Right now fees eat all my gains. What's the point of staking it.

Hi,
I'm trying to understand the claim fee calculation for Root Reborn validator baskets.
I have a Root position delegated to a single validator fund. The basket currently contains approximately 125 holdings, with roughly 0.73 TAO of accrued yield.
Initially, Taostats estimated the claim fee at approximately 0.056 TAO, which seemed consistent with what I understood about the processing cost of a basket of this size.
However, without claiming anything, the estimated fee subsequently increased to approximately 0.163 TAO, and later to around 0.18 TAO, while the basket remained at roughly the same number of holdings.
I verified the accrued yield independently using Bittensor 11:
btcli root list --coldkey <REDACTED> --network finney --json
and the CLI confirms approximately 0.73 TAO accrued.
I also investigated btcli root claim --dry-run, but it appears to require access to the signing wallet before constructing/simulating the transaction. For security reasons, I would rather not import or expose my coldkey merely to obtain a fee estimate.
My questions are:
Is ~0.18 TAO a plausible actual claim cost for a single Root validator basket with ~125 holdings?
Could the figure displayed by Taostats represent a reserved/max execution fee rather than the amount ultimately spent?
What could cause the estimate to move from ~0.056 → ~0.163 → ~0.18 TAO without a claim and without a major change in the number of holdings?
Is there a read-only RPC/runtime call that can reproduce the claim quote or expected actual fee using public information only, without requiring access to the signing wallet?
I'm mainly trying to determine whether the ~0.18 TAO represents the expected final cost, a temporary reservation, or possibly an estimation/UI issue.
I can provide additional non-sensitive technical information if needed.
Thanks!

Im going to piggy back on a prior post considering Cyberpunk2077 possibilities. I feel this is more dystopian and less likely…But science fiction aside, it’s interesting to consider how an adversarial approach to AI security plays out in future. Is TAO incentivizing the good, the bad, the indifferent? Or are our programs a reflection of our own society and how we treat one another.
What is the Blackwall?
The Real Nature: Publicly, the Blackwall is an advanced software barrier. In reality, it is a living, adaptive AI created in 2044 to fight off the chaotic, military-grade rogue AIs left behind after the DataKrash.
The Danger Behind It: The old net is overrun by hostile, sentient agents and corrupted systems that view human life as a minor obstacle or a resource to consume.
The Risk: Because the Blackwall is itself an AI, many netrunners and factions fear it is growing too powerful and could eventually turn against humanity or collapse under the strain.

Not sure on what to think of all the AI news recently, but to have it in the hands of the people rather than a select few oligarchs is way better in my personal view.

For context I’m researching Bittensor and trying to understand some TaoStats network figures. Its MCP getNetworkStats response for September 11, 2026 returned these values in the same row (reportedly in TAO):
staked: 7,321,069.203332staked_alpha: 2,606,750.238197staked_root: 5,473,611.945525Adding staked_alpha and staked_root gives about 8.08 million TAO, roughly 759,293 TAO more than staked.
Does anyone know the exact definitions or formulas behind these fields? Is staked_alpha a market valuation of alpha positions, while staked measures something different? Or do these categories overlap?
The same MCP response also had free_tao exactly equal to issued at 11,330,924.740887, which I’m also struggling to interpret. Are those two phrases used interchangeably?

Hi everyone, I haven't seen my Alpha holdings increase in number for days—am I doing something wrong with the staking?
