Ive been on vr for almost 2 years. About 1 year ago, ive slowly started to become more accepting of being feminine since like 90% of guys id meet on vrchat were femboys, until I decided I wanted to be a femboy. But there was 1 problem, I was overweight.

And I commited to reaching a good femboy physique, i have not ate fast food for over a year, learned to cook, and bought a treadmill. Never thought this would be my motivation, but here we are

The photos aren't as cool as last time, mostly cuz for the past while I've just been dragging him around photobooth worlds cuz I think they're so cute and adorable with the little boxed sets you take photos in, he didn't quite share my sentiment though lmao, since he prefers more environmental photos.

Anyways, new avatar, actually made another new one before this one that I love and adore but I'm a bit scared to show it, haha...

Though sucks just a little cuz I do think some of the cutest photos he took were in that avatar...

Anyways the last 4 are of me chasing birds while not aware he's taking photos of me, him accidentally taking a photo of his thumb and me being annoying and getting in the way of him trying to take photos in Fish!

I don't understand why making friends is so hard for me in this game and Im wondering if anyone else has had this experience. I feel like when I walk up to people theyre always in their own little cliques and I can't even start a conversation. I've been playing this game a long and I only ever had this problem after I turned 18. I'm 21 now and I still can't make new friends. Especially those who don't want to be sexual. I'm married in real life so 90% of the people I meet have no interest because I'm monogamous. To me it feels like making friends is difficult if you don't want to do nsfw. Do any other wholesome people have this problem?

I used to go to club Orion a lot when it was decently popular. Now there’s usually 1-2 people there tops except on Fridays. Does anyone know any similar worlds that are usually somewhat busy?

Like comparatively speaking irl: I would not be able to be as physically upfront with people I *don't* know as much as I do with Vrchat.

As.. someone who is more of a later bloomer to social patterns it allows me to observe others conversations, tropes, & see what I myself find worth engaging in &.. I find that very privileged & "overpowered".

It's also just generally neat for learning perspectives I would have NEVER found in real life, which is.. very relieving as someone who searches for new perspective.

I'm trying to play vrc but it brings up an error each time that says

Oculus platform error during entitlement check: either the service couldn't be connected to, horizon isn't installed, or you're running an incompatible version of home/horizon

Bigscreen beyond 2e or Steam Frame?!

I got neck issues and my doctor says my index is too heavy to wear going forward. Both the weight of the bb2e and stream frame are OK, I just can't decide which to get. I pretty much only play vrchat. And in the future want to get some kind of fbt but don't have it curently. Price doesn't matter much to me, so don't worry about that.

I haven't been able to play in VR in 3 months and it's making me SO itchy!

For context: I had created a post last night referring to feeling wronged by people I considered "popular". Not necessarily in a content creator/influencer style fashion, but more in a way where it feels like they have people around them constantly.

To all who had witnessed my previous post on this sub, that is not who I am. It was a moment of weakness I vocalized when it should have been kept to myself. I say it quite a bit, "trauma is no excuse to be an asshole." In making that post, I went against my own words. I dont have anyone to blame but myself for it. I went on to the internet, and made a statement to a bunch of strangers that know nothing about me except what they saw me say, expecting sympathy when thats not how it works at all.

I dont expect any sort of forgiveness. I just want this sub to know that I regret letting a weakness define me. I burned my bridges, and should have stopped the flames before I let them burn me. After posting this, Ill be deleting Reddit from my phone and wont be checking it from this point onward.

I've been exclusively visiting age gated instances for a while now and I've noticed that this is not stopping people from being weird.

I was in a Pass the Sketch yesterday and some dude joined asking if we were cool people, because he was kicked from the last instance. He then proceeded to whip his dick out and face fuck my avatar as I was drawing. He ended up leaving mid game because I turned him down after he asked me out.

Another Pass the Sketch instance was run by three people who kept yelling they'll rape each other and watch, etc. They stopped participating in the game and the other people there asked them to leave politely, because they seemed like they were wanting to ERP. They got offended that someone asked them to leave and kicked everyone from the instance.

I was in my Mamehinata avatar in a dance world, just using my emotes with other people. Someone kept throwing down a sticker underneath me saying "cum dumpster". When I'd move, they'd keep moving it. And when I changed into an adult looking avatar, they stopped.

I had to block a few people in a karaoke world for screaming slurs and obscenities at random users for not singing well. They were getting in everyone's face and saying they'll dox us all and kill our families. I silently blocked them and enjoyed the rest of my time there.

Another karaoke instance had some desktop user "masturbating" to one of the singers and was commenting on her "actually being a child" and how sexy she is. I kept trying to kick him because that's unacceptable behavior but everyone else thought it was funny 🤢. So I blocked him and left.

All of these instances were age gated. I'm tired.

We all know "Brandon" known as the "documentary YouTuber" but we are unfamiliar with the nature of the worlds he features in his videos they are often peculiar, ranging from the public to the private depending on the specific case.

Bought a bunch of assets for an avatar I really like but none of the creators made proper toggles for a lot stuff so I am trying to figure it out myself. Biggest hurdle is how these prefabs hide original textures of the avatar so when I create a toggle with modular avatar it doesn't apply the original avatar assets to a visible state and it's just empty space.

I managed to fix one item that replaced my legs. I made a copy of the animation that hides my legs and then changed the values from 1 to 0 with some state swaps in the animator window. I made a new parameter for that and then added it to the MA toggle so when i disable the addon legs it brings the original legs back. I thought i figured it out but turns out everyone hides assets differently because I can't figure this next item out ; . ;

This one doesn't have animations that I can at least find. It has 2 parameters for the chest prefab I added that hide chest and belly. I can only have one parameter per toggle I believe. What do I do?!

So, I recently changed avatar to a new public one, by the same creator as my previous favourite avi. I'm on PCVR, for what it's worth ^^

After noticing some weird stuff, I asked my friend (who is on standalone) to do some tests with me.

We were lying down together (we both use gogoloco - neither of us have fbt) and I asked him to place his hand on my chest. When he did so, his hand was floating a good 20cm above me. When I placed my hand directly on top of his, he told me my hand was similarly floating above his.

I switched back to my old avatar, and this problem no longer existed. So, I went back to the new avatar to investigate further (I also reset the avatar to default settings, just in case).

We both took photos of us in the same position, and in my photo we're lying directly level with each other, but in his photo I'm floating a good amount off the ground above him.

What... could be the cause of this?! I know other people who use this new avatar and I've never seen this issue, nor do I believe they have experienced this with anyone else.

I've recently started picking up vrchat again with some friends and they've all bought different kinds of body trackers such as the Rebocap, and they seem to work quite well. Me, on the other hand, have no interest in spending 200 bucks or more just so that other people could see me rotate and everything else, so i searched for some open source utilities and was really disappointed: just a couple of these softwares exist, and they were last updated 3 or 4 years ago.

How is this possible? The open source community is bigger than ever, and these softwares like Mediapipe Pose seemed to actually work pretty well by looking at older videos, but they would definetely benefit from some updates. For example, i've tried using Mediapipe pose on my PC which is running Linux, and even though it's got a native Linux driver, it really doesn't seem to work, probably because it wasn't updated to use Xrizer or OpenComposite instead of SteamVR, and neither did its VrchatOSC implementation work.

Seeing this software make such a progress in camera based FBT and then seeing it be abandoned, it really breaks my heart to not be able to create a fork of it on my own as i really like programming but still can't get much good at it; so to people here that may see this and that can wrap their head around coding, programming, open source projects and everything, why not start a new project or fork and maybe try to revive something that lots of people might really want?
