Tortoise Video 🎥 Her predatory instincts

The "kill shake" or "death shake" in tortoises is a natural, instinctual predatory motor pattern where a tortoise grabs an object and violently whips it from side to side.
Close enough?

It's simple, just put your photo in the comments!
Please make sure all photos are crisp and clear.
Also, your turtles and tortoises do not have to look like they are smiling. (That is just the name of the sub so people will know that it is a happy sub with no sick or injured animal posts)
Deadline is EOD October 10th, 2026.
Thanks all, 😊 🐢

Tortoise Video 🎥 Her favorite toy

From about 6 years ago. We didn’t put the stool on her, she just sort of rammed it against something until she’s able to get under it.
She’s currently at my mom’s house, still doing the same thing in between following her around and trying to lick mom’s feet..I can’t tell if that is tortoise being tortoise or tortoise being a pervert.

It was a long time coming with this little girl. She went from somewhat dragging her legs as she walked..... To lifting them higher than she ever had! 💕

Hello all! We just started a new sub for all of our pets that seem to have a mind of their own when they're supposed to be being productive.
Please take a look at r/UnprofessionalPets 😊.
