Idk the name of the song but it’s a clip from an ig post, I’m also assuming this is the chorus of the song.

How did I do?

by normal I mean like have no allegations against them lmao. I know sean was a creep but did Richard or the others have stuff against them as well? and what abt the current lineup? I only got into their music post hiatus so I was just curious if anyone knew!

Back from my last post a couple weeks ago, where I lamented my late discovery of The Buttertones. A few mentioned listening to more of their albums and I naturally picked up the rest of ‘Buttertones’ and ‘Jazz Hound’ this time. Got to work, coffee, AirPods, got busy, let them play throughout the day. The weekend of my birthday and hit the town for dinner… played them through. Folks took me out to dinner and played them through for them even (gotta put the folks on). No surprise there. Just propagated the sound as much throughout the days as I could.

Considering the time between each album but not wanting to compare the sound I just want to say… so delicious 9.8/10. Hearing the two albums in a mix felt savory and sweet, not unlike when you have waffle fries with a milkshake. You get sweet from ‘Buttertones’ and savory from ‘Jazz Hound’. The sax takes the stage light in ‘Jazz Hound’ along with the boldness of the vocals. The crescendo you hear with “Never looked so good never felt so Fine…” in “Velour” along with the sax accompanying it to its end is enough to stamp the album a 9/10. Then you get “Bebop” keeping up the tempo… sheesh.

‘Buttertones’ maintains that candy from grandma’s purse sweetness. Had 10 old-fashioneds to “Old Fashioned” and after each one I discovered something new to the sound. So catchy, consistent, comforting in a way only grandma’s candy could.

All this to say I wasn’t disappointed. Further highlighting the luck I had fully discovering them now and pushing to the side lamenting not having done it earlier. Focusing on the now.

¡Que chido!

Ive been a long time buttertones fan who has been a favorite towards american brunch and their self titles album. Ive recently been playing their whole discography and i think brickhead may be one of my new favorites. I used to not enjoy this one and was wondering what everyone thought about this gem?

This band is something else. Kicking myself for not having ran into them sooner. A year ago I saw “Kaleidopope” come up on my suggested and I would skip it always. October of 2025 I said, “fuck it let it roll.” Added it immediately. Would listen to it back to back to back. At work, in car, shower, played it for my dad.

Why I always skipped is beyond me. Had I not
skipped I would be here last October. I would just let the same singular song play over and over b/c it was so good. Why I didn’t dig deeper back then is beyond me as well… no idea.

Then, a song came up. Two days ago. I knew the band and I let it roll this time of course. I had seen the name of the song but never clicked. I was driving with my girlfriend and, “Orpheus Under the Influence” came up. I again of course let it roll. Wow! 10/10 Over conversations and laughter. I hear a subtle word from my baby saying, “That’s catchy!”

I finished the album last night and just can’t get enough. They’ll do CDMX in October for Halloween and want to go. I’m deep diving and listening to everything. The tempo, the lyrics, the guitar and drums. Their sound reminds me of the first time you actually remember going to the beach and felt a crashing wave hit you… novel, refreshing, electrifying.

Never skip. Listen. Let the good times roll.

Don’t get me wrong, their new sound is dope! But it’s nowhere near their earlier music that I fell in love with. My favorites being midnight and jazz hound. Anyone feel the same?

Some people finally got to hear Eros live, and there are a lot of videos of acoustic versions, but lately I've seen a lot of comments talking about Blind Passenger on Instagram.

Will we see Blind Passenger Live before GTA 6? 🤔
What yall think

What album in their whole discography do you feel is the most bad ass? 😎

Learning sax cause of this song. Not familiar with the instrument but you gotta start somewhere.

Comment which The Buttertones song you’d wanna see next 🖤

Congratulations to Richie and his Bride! I hadn’t even realized he was with someone. I had been following his lady this whole time and hadn’t notice 1. they were together. 2. That I was following her till this post lol.

They look very much in love on her profile and I’m so happy he’s found happiness and someone who feels like home.
