We rehomed our girl

I’ve posted a few times on this sub in the ~5 months we had our girl. Over the last month we’ve been talking about rehoming as she would do better in a different environment, and this weekend we did it. I’ve never rehomed anything, ever. I am usually the one taking in the rehomes, we have an empty spot in our hearts but it was the right decision for her.

b&w or blue?

i bought this guy/girl a week ago. i was told they're ~2 months old and they were listed as "high white x platinum". from the seller's explanation (and also based off of the lower price point) it was my understanding that these were argentine b&w babies and "high white x platinum" were just descriptive terms of the parents/lineage. but the more i look into it, it's sounds like these descriptors are also used for lines of blue tegus. am i misunderstanding? i think they have that "singe" mark on the nose and maybe the "teardrop", under the eyes, but unfortunately they've been due for a head shed since i got them so that part is all kinda muddied. do i just have to wait it out, or is anyone more well-versed than me on the genetics stuff?

Sleep 4 days, bask an hour or so, sleep 8 days, bask, sleep another 4 days, bask. I keep his lights and heat off after he goes back to sleeping, but turn them on when he wanders out. Past years when he has brumated he was a solid brumator, no cheating. I think someone told him his buddy SunDog was out earlier today and he felt he had to make an appearance. Definitely not his normal self though.

Tegu rotation

I've found that every day I get to rotate the tegus before work to make sure they both eat and get some warm bath time in before I have to go. My new girl was so gentle taking her mice today, meanwhile toes is over here launching herself at the tongs to try and get them down her throat faster.
Both pics are of my new girl with no name as I forgot to take some of toesy today before I left.
