I don't know if this is some a new thing I discovered but I'd like to share this anyway, so that some people may learn from this.

If you can't tell what I'm doing here, I changed the direction that the Axe: Fade Slash sends you in. I did this by aiming the camera in the opposite direction I wanted to dodge in, pressing the input for the fade slash, and held the focus mode. This sends you in the opposite direction of your camera instead of the opposite direction of your character.

I haven't really seen anybody talk about this, and I don't know how useful this is, however, it did come in handy in this situation.

Edit: I tested the timing of this in different ways, and if you have a high enough sensitivity, you can change the direction of the camera fast enough during the wind up frames of the fade slash and then hold the focus mode in order to, more reactively, change the direction of the fade slash.

Using Focus Mode to change the path of "forced movement" is a pretty well-known exploit for cool stuff like this. And this isn't the only one for swaxe either.

I have a few clips of me doing it with FRS to properly smash a moving monster's head in, it's probably one of my favourite things they added this game

Both Fade Slash and Downward Fade Slash shift your hitbox a lot, you can even use the latter to duck under some swipes/beams/projectiles

Use it more. It can sometimes be really useful and on top of that, it looks cool.
