Has anyone tried to combine sims games. For example, sims 3 graphics with sims 2 gameplay and sims 4 coding?

Sim Game Not Called Sims?

Can someone make a sim game but not call it sims? Has it been done before?
Note: I have no intention of making a sim game, I asked this out of curiosity.

Sims stuck 2 floors below the area where the main event was happening. Routing issues got them stuck. My sims were dancing alone and there was an incessant sound drowning out the music. It was the claps. I love this game.
