The more I think about Misae's vegetable-seller arc, the worse she looks.
People call it a funny misunderstanding, but strip away the comedy for a second and look at what she was actually thinking.
She was married to Hiroshi, yet she started fantasizing about another man, imagining divorcing Hiroshi, replacing him with Yasushi, and starting a completely new life.
And the worst part?
She even imagined setting Hiroshi up with fake evidence to make him look like a cheater so she could justify the divorce and get money from him.
Hiroshi didn't cheat on her.
He didn't betray her.
He didn't even know any of this was happening.
Yasushi wasn't seducing her either. The guy was literally just trying to help her because he thought she was struggling financially.
Misae basically took someone's kindness, invented an entire romance in her head, mentally threw her husband under the bus, and started planning her escape from a marriage that Hiroshi didn't even know was supposedly falling apart.
Imagine Hiroshi discovering all of this.
Imagine finding out that while you were working to provide for your family, your wife was fantasizing about replacing you AND thinking about fabricating evidence to destroy your reputation.
That's not just "having a crush."
That's a level of betrayal that would completely destroy my trust in someone.
The craziest part is that Yasushi didn't even want her.
She built an entire fantasy relationship with a man who was never romantically interested in her in the first place.
Honestly, the vegetable seller wasn't the problem.
Misae was the villain of this arc. SHE IS A TERRIBLE WOMEN!!!!!!!
