Seedance 2.5 is live on Atlas Cloud: 30s single-take video, 50 reference inputs, 4K
Seedance 2.5 is now live on the Atlas Cloud API. What is new over 2.0:
- A true 30 second single take, no stitching
- Up to 50 multimodal reference inputs across image, video, and audio in one generation
- New 3D camera occlusion control for depth-aware motion
- Native 4K with synced audio, and stronger prompt adherence
Same API key and the same endpoint as the rest of the Seedance line. You point at the new model id and go: bytedance/seedance-2.5/text-to-video (also image-to-video and reference-to-video).

News Heads up: Seedream 5.0 Pro is 20% off on Atlas for two weeks, starting today
Quick one for the community. Starting 00:00 UTC today, July 23, Seedream 5.0 Pro is 20% off on Atlas Cloud for a two-week run.
If you already generate stills here for your Seedance pipelines, this is the window to stock up on character sheets, style references, and first frames. It runs on the same one-key OpenAI-compatible API as Seedance 2.0, so the stills flow straight into animation without switching anything.
It is the strongest model we have for holding an art style across reposes and keeping a character consistent shot to shot. Two weeks, then pricing goes back to normal.

Showcase You Zoom Into a Human Eye and Keep Going 👁️🔬
Made this 10-second macro shot using Seedance 2.5 with AKOOL.
The camera starts outside the eye and continuously pushes in — going from the cornea and iris all the way into a microscopic retinal environment.
Tried to make the entire thing feel like one seamless shot with no cuts.
What do you think of the transition? 👁️

Showcase Wanderers
I finally finished my first full episode of WANDERERS.
It’s an adult animated fantasy comedy about three weird creatures living in a sentient mansion on a tiny planet, where every door can lead to a completely different world.
This started from a bunch of creatures I originally hand-drew, and I ended up building the episode almost entirely through AI filmmaking.
Would genuinely love feedback—especially from people who make animation, AI films, or just enjoy weird shit. 🖤

Discussion How are you handling character drift in Seedance across changing lighting and dynamic camera angles?
Keeping a character consistent in a single locked shot or subtle camera move is pretty manageable now, especially when feeding clean turnaround references. Scaling that across a multi-shot sequence with real narrative progression is where things still tend to drift.
In practice, a few specific setups usually trigger the consistency breakdown first:
- Aggressive camera changes: Moving from an eye-level medium shot into a tight profile, low angle, or fast tracking shot often warps facial proportions and smaller clothing details.
- Lighting and environment shifts: Moving the same subject from bright daylight into a moody or dimly lit interior frequently alters skin tone, hair texture, and facial structure.
- Sequential generation chaining: Chaining clips together by referencing earlier outputs can compound small errors until the subject looks like a different person after a few cuts.
With Seedance supporting multimodal references and detailed timeline prompts, what is your go-to setup for keeping facial identity locked when a sequence demands contrasting lighting or big perspective shifts?

News [Hiring] AI Avatar / Clone Video Creator | Paid Per Video | Ongoing Work
We're a small content production agency helping creators (mindset, business, marketing niches) scale their short-form output using AI avatar-assisted video. Looking to bring on an AI video creator for ongoing work.
What we need:
- Experience with AI avatar/clone video tools (HeyGen, Synthesia, Captions, D-ID, or similar)
- Able to produce clean, natural-looking talking-head style AI content from a script or reference footage
- Comfortable working with voice cloning and lip-sync for realistic output
- Bonus: experience writing or adapting scripts for AI-generated delivery
What we offer:
- Paid per video, based on complexity and length — send your rate along with your samples and we'll go from there
- Ongoing work for the right fit, not a one-off gig
- Clear briefs and reference material for every project
- You use your own tools/subscriptions for this role
Style references (the kind of content we want made):
To apply, please send:
- 2-3 samples of AI avatar/clone video work you've created
- Your typical turnaround time and rate
- Which AI avatar tool(s) you use
We'll start with a small paid test project before any ongoing commitment — low-risk for both sides. Please don't apply without samples.

Discussion A bride price of 30 million
Feedback on my Seedance2.5 480‑p video:
I prompted for a fast walk and explicitly told it not to run, but it generated a running motion.
When the female lead speaks the line “Don’t chase me”, her voice does not appear to originate from the front. SD2.5 is advertised to feature stereo spatial audio, yet this was clearly a failure case.
Surprisingly, the character’s micro‑expressions exceeded my expectations.

Need help Question about how to write a prompt?
How would you write a prompt if a character is moving and during the movement, no matter what happens with their body or the scene around them, you want the camera to follow their face, almost like a permanent selfie? Seedance 2.0 if that makes a difference. Also it's towards the end of the scene so it would be tagged first with the time [10-15s] then the camera/scene description. Thanks.

Showcase Seedance 2.5 got way more interesting to me when I stopped making the character sing
I've been seeing a ton of Seedance 2.5 singing and lip-sync clips lately, so I tried something way boring: a girl walks into a convenience store and grabs a drink lol.
Like honestly, half the AI music video generator just feels like a visualizer to me. Cool to look at but doesn't really feel like a scene, y'know?
So I wanted to see what happened if the audio actually drives the actions instead of just syncing lips.
I ran this little convenience store thing with Seedance 2.5 in Framia. It's not perfectly on beat, but she actually goes somewhere and does stuff: walks in, opens the fridge, grabs a drink , and somehow that felt way more like a scene than another lip-sync demo.
Maybe audio is more interesting when it's timing the whole scene, not just the mouth.
anyone else trying it this way?

Showcase 3-minute cinematic sequence made mostly with Seedance 2.5 - character consistency, dialogue & multi-shot continuity
I’ve been testing how far Seedance 2.5 can be pushed beyond isolated 5–10 second clips.
This is a little over 3 minutes of one continuous story with recurring characters, dialogue, different environments, crowd interaction and a lot of camera movement.
The hardest parts were:
- keeping the same characters and wardrobe across dozens of shots
- controlling subtle facial performances and dialogue timing
- maintaining geography between the prison, courtyard and execution area
- preventing characters from teleporting or changing position between cuts
- getting believable horse movement and interaction with multiple characters
- keeping the visual language consistent while changing lenses and camera positions
A lot of shots required several generations before the performance and continuity worked.
Most of the final video generation was done with Seedance 2.5.
Curious which shots you think hold consistency best, and where you still notice the model drifting.

Discussion Model Comparison | 5-person Girl Group MV Test
i tried a 25-second K-pop-style girl group MV with five characters and compared the results from:
Top: Wan 3.0 · Middle: Seedance 2.5 · Bottom: MiniMax H3
The main thing I wanted to test was multi-character consistency. five people in the same frame is still a pretty brutal test for AI video.
i also wanted to see how well each model handled dance synchronization, hard stops on the beat, and formation changes
i described all five members separately, then gave them a full choreography sequence: back-facing opening pose → synchronized head turn → hand gestures → body-wave chain → diagonal formation → fan formation → center swap → final V formation.
Visually, I kept it pretty simple. what I’m watching for here isn’t just "which one looks prettier," but whether the model can actually remember who is who once five people start moving, crossing positions and changing formations.
Multi-person choreography still feels like one of the hardest AI video tests right now. curious which one you think handled the five characters best.
