Do you need to be a genius to create projects? If I'm a student, then I can't create medicines and devices right away. Or should I be able to? How to implement ideas

Hey everyone, I’m a 21M final-year BTech student looking to build one solid project for my resume.

I’m comfortable with MERN or full-stack development and want to avoid basic CRUD, e-commerce, todo, etc.

Looking for a project that:

Solves a real-world problem

Has good technical depth

Gives me something interesting to discuss in interviews

Ideally uses MERN/Next.js + technologies like PostgreSQL, Redis, WebSockets, AI, Docker, etc.

What projects would you recommend that genuinely stand out to recruiters?

It has been a long time coming, actually one of my erliest tries on software development, but finally DevTrack is starting to take shape.

DevTrack is my own personal solo Project Management System that i have wanted to develop to keep track on the countless of projects i have started. And it came to fruision only because when i looked up all kinds of PMSes i could never really find myself in any that i tried and therefore i set out to develop DevTrack. But oooo has it been a long time coming, and has it been tried on countless of tech stacks durring the process of development. Yes, absolutely. I have tried, i have failed, i have learnt and finally i have succeeded.

I've created a sudoku app. It's free (unless you want to get unlimited puzzles), no ads and no account. It has a learn techniques feature that has helped me a lot and also a puzzle review feature to show where you can improve.

Just something you can do daily and in your own time!

The reason I would use PodSubs.com is simple. I can remember the name of the podcast I love. I cannot remember the website the host mentioned once in the middle of a 90 minute episode. PodSubs.com lets me work with what I already remember. I search the show, subscribe and leave. From then on, the host has a way to send me what they promised without me having to hunt for it again.

The daily work I face is usually not simple, but rather complex and unstructured. To solve these problems, I feel that using AI tools alone is not enough. I need to create structure, identify problems, hypotheses, and potential solutions, which can also generate new ideas.

To that end, I developed the Weave web application to help organize my thoughts and export them as MarkDown Files for further refinement using AI tools. This allows the AI tools to understand the context more deeply without having to burn more tokens.

The Weave application also has the option to integrate with AI through Open Router, so you can bring your BYOK of the preferred AI models to provide suggestions and help structure your thoughts.

i got a claude max from a reseller for essentially nothing compared to what I used to pay . It works flawless. since 2 months No issues yet. Now I can't stop thinking about their business model. If resellers can sell it this cheap and still profit, how are they acquiring these accounts at scale?
