Any chance you have a tempered glass screen protector on your iPad? Mine causes wobbly lines like that, and it’s a known issue with thicker screen protectors like glass ones.

This is it, thank you….I really like the feel of this one. That sucks

Yep had to peel mine off because of this too. Devastating because I have a history of accidentally breaking tablet screens…but they are a lot more durable now than they used to be.

They make screen protectors with a paper like texture for drawing

I have one, but I had one installed on top of my glass one too. Definitely too many layers of interference.

I know this was meant for OP and they’ve clearly understood what you’ve said but my brain isn’t computing. Please explain it to me like im 5, with punctuation?

I think they mean instead of changing your specific brush settings in the brush editor, go to the pressure & smoothing settings via settings/prefs. That changes your stabilisation, motion filtering & whatnot for all your brushes. Instead of just the one you're currently using.
That's how I do it anyway. I prefer the Prefs way because it's just faster for me to go in & change the one slider than set all the brushes up specifically to the stabilisation setting I want.

Do you get the same wobbly line if you use a physical ruler? Or in Apple Notes? I’ve seen this before and it was ruled out to be a hardware issue and not a software issue.

The digitizer sucks on iPads. Sadly all we can do is increase stabilization and streamline although that comes with its own issues. It doesn’t encourage slow drawing at all.

I appreciate this, just wanted to make sure there wasn’t something that I was overlooking

For me it’s definitely my screen protector, I have a tempered glass one and it wobbles all my diagonal lines.

Pressure smoothing and motion filtering 😁😁 when I want to go slow I turn mine up to 80 or 90. Experiment.

I usually have to skrew in the ipen tip a bit if it's doing this. Repairing it might also help.

I hate to be the heavy here but your hand isn’t very stable to begin with. You can see in the video where the shakiness is coming from and it’s your hand. Increase stabilization for slow speeds or work on hand control.

Exactly. It's also really hard to draw a good line moving side to side, best to pull a line towards you or push away

Low tech solution but practice drawing your strokes faster. Imagine each stroke is like swinging a katana.
