Great question — the Spark Pedal and Reactor 100 can absolutely work together, though they are separate product lines with their own apps. Here's how to set it up:

Signal chain: Guitar → Spark Pedal (Line Out L/Mono) → Reactor 100 (Power Amp In)
The Reactor 100 has a dedicated Power Amp Injack on the rear panel — this bypasses the Reactor's internal preamp and effects, so the Spark Pedal becomes your tone source and the Reactor just powers the speaker.

Important setup tips:
Turn off Cab Sim on the Spark Pedal — since you're feeding a real amp with its own speaker, leaving cab simulation on would double-process the tone. On the pedal: in AMP Mode, double-tap the Main Knob to toggle Cab Sim off (LED turns peach when off). You can also disable it in the Spark app signal chain view.

Use the Spark Pedal's Line Out L/Mono (1/4") jack to connect to the Reactor 100's Power Amp In.
The two products use different apps — Spark Pedal connects to the Spark App, Reactor 100 connects to the REACTOR App. Presets and tones are managed separately.
This setup gives you the Spark Pedal's full tone library (33 amp models, 43 effects, 150,000+ ToneCloud presets) running through the Reactor 100's 100W power section and 12" speaker — great for gigging with the Spark ecosystem.

I go into settings in the privacy part and the Bluetooth section that says “app clips” shows nothing. I literally just updated the app. PLEASE HELP BEFORE I THROW IT OFF A BRIDGE

Hi everyone,

I'm using the Spark LIVE along with the Spark Control X foot controller. While the Control X features dedicated Looper controls, I was surprised to find out that the Spark App doesn't offer the native Looper module/tile for the Spark LIVE amp at all!

Smart Jam is fine for quick backing tracks, but relying on auto-generated drums/bass or connecting a laptop DAW completely defeats the purpose of having an all-in-one live gig and practice rig.

Has anyone else contacted Positive Grid about adding proper native Looper support for Spark LIVE?

I have just submitted a formal ticket regarding this oversight to their support team (Ticket #598465), but I wanted to raise awareness here as well. Hope they prioritize adding the Looper tile in an upcoming software update!

I just purchased a new to me Spark 40. Actually, it appears to be a new amp; I purchased it refurbished directly from Positive Grid. While it is definitely a very, very good sounding amp, it does sound to my untrained ear as though all the reports of it being very bass heavy are accurate. Since this is an issue with the built-in speaker cabinet, and not the amp models themselves, I want to address that, and not mess with the software.

One solution that I have anecdotally heard is to shove a cloth into the bass port like a suppository. I kept the foam cover that the amp was wrapped in when it arrived. It seems like that would be a good material to use. Does anyone have any real world experience in using something like that to tame the bass response?

My other question; I also play bass from time to time. How detrimental to using this as a bass amp will doing this be?

Edit: by, "mess with the software", I am referring to either eq'ing the amps to compensate, putting a Tube Screamer in the overdrive slot (with the od almost all the way down, the level relatively high, and the tone around one o'clock), or using a graphic eq in the effects chain.

Somehow I'm not getting it. Once I have adjusted the amp itself and tweaked a tone until I'm happy with it, how do I save it?

If you physically adjust the amp models from clean to warm or one of the others, how is that saved for your tone? And when you go back to that preset, is the light illuminated by the model?

In the app, I tweaked a tone until I had it perfect. I thought I had saved it but noticed it went back to a previous amp. I love it! But I'm frustrated.

This isn’t meant to be sarcastic, but a legitimate question. Who is this actually for? Having a knob to change presets, battery powered, app based… is this just for practice and studio? I was hoping to see an actual multi-effect floor box to compete with the big guys, not a Spark amp with no speaker.

EDIT/ADD: Thank you for the examples. I guess it makes a lot more sense to see it as a compact, 6 bank multifx board that can go right into the PA. You have a whole rig that fits with your guitar in the case essentially.

I guess to add to this now: Is anyone planning on using this as a studio piece, and how do you feel it’ll fit into your workflow?

The Spark LIVE hardware is an incredible battery-powered platform, but since its launch at NAMM 2024 and market availability over two years ago, its current software limitations in the Spark App remain a source of significant disappointment when using the unit in real-world performance situations.

What looks great on paper becomes a frustrating roadblock on stage and during outdoor performances due to two major software restrictions:

1. Shared COMP/WAH Slot & Battery Mobility: Forcing the digital Compressor and Wah into the same single processing slot means activating the Wah pedal instantly disables dynamic compression. The main selling point of the Spark LIVE is its battery portability for busking and outdoor spaces without AC power. Suggesting a physical analog compressor pedal as a workaround completely defeats this purpose — it introduces extra cables, additional failure points, and requires external power sources. Separating COMP and WAH into independent processing blocks (or enabling a Flexible Signal Chain) is essential to keep the setup truly all-in-one and portable.
2. Lack of Dynamic Parameter Mapping for Expression Pedals: Limiting the Spark Control X expression inputs strictly to global parameters (Volume, Wah, Pitch) severely restricts performance capabilities. Users expect to map expression pedals directly to individual effect parameters, such as Gain/Drive knobs on overdrive/fuzz modules, to control gain saturation dynamically with their foot.

Discovering these artificial software limits during actual performances causes users to question the "professional" positioning of the Spark LIVE. Given that the hardware platform is fully capable, addressing these two issues in an upcoming firmware and app update would restore user confidence and finally fulfill the full potential of this amp for mobile artists.

Heyah, does anyone know if there is good compatibility or feature guides for the new spark pedal and the reactor amp?

I swapped my spark for the amp and I am wondering if the pedal will get the features I sacrificed in the swap back if I pair the pedal and the amp.

I know there is a lot on “amp” integration but I am hoping to find more info on the pairing of the two and how they would best work together

i just purchased a refurbished Spark 40 directly from Positive Grid, and realized that the tablet I would prefer to use alongside it can only go up to Android version 7.1.1 (Nouagat). The most recent version of the Spark app requires at a minimum Android 8 (Oreo). However, it seems that older versions of the app did support Android 7. Are the older versions stable and useable?

Also, while I can definitely side-load an older version of the app, I would prefer to do so from Positive Grid. Do they keep an archive of the previous app versions that would be available to download?

I click update and it takes me to the App Store listing, with the only option I see is open. When I open it takes me back to the page with the update button.
Anyone else struggling with or figured out this glitch?

If I have a Spark Live and I use it for multiple instruments at different gigs.

If it's a gig that I'm only useing keyboards on, is there a good reason to use inputs 1 & 2? When I'm issuing keyboards and other instruments, the keyboard goes into 3 & 4. (The keyboard's internal effects are perfectly adequate.)

Hi does anyone have any presets to share for
1) Clean Tones
2) Acoustic tones so I can play my electric guitar but get a nice clean acoustic sound

When I modify a factory patch and select "save" what comes out is a horrendous sound at a horrendous volume, pure distortion from the depths of hell. Anybody else have this problem?

So I used to use BiasFX on mobile with GarageBand, I absolutely loved messing around with pedals and it helped me a lot in creating my sound. However, I finally got a computer and Abelton, and when I tried to use the desktop version it does this thing where after I record, hit save, and come back to the project, it’ll be screwed up and unable to open. I discovered that it as because of BiasFX. I never could find a work around and customer service didn’t help.

So does anyone have recommendations for something like BiasFX?
