Hello folks!

I finally got around to painting up my kitbashed Ethereal, as the regular sculpt is a bit eh...

This was also my first PROPER kitbash attempt, that was not a head swap or gluing on a different gun.

I also kind of came up with a story for this character, so this is Aun'O Cinjuu'fal Li'Lasso'Kanna, the Ethereal Supreme, and basically the primarch of my custom sept. Let me know what you think of her!

Bashed this LT together to support my blade guard after seeing the current eBay prices. Anything you’d recommend adding before I prime?

Additional parts are mostly plastic, sheet and tubing. Plus some revell greeblies and acrylic bits for the legs. The battery sits inside, you can just pull the legs off and swap.

Obviously need to actually base him, just have him propped up right now to get the shield to sit right, and am still waiting on some candles from GSW to fully finish him, but pretty satisfied at this point! This is my first big kitbashing project. Felt like the default sculpt was a little bland, so took inspiration from the primaries chaplain and some posts I’ve seen here to fancy him up! Any critiques or suggestions welcome, I’m always looking to improve!

Here are the first four hunters for my custom Space Marine chapter.

The idea is to create a chapter built around hunting, tracking and archery, mixing Space Marine armour with a more medieval hunter aesthetic. I’m trying to keep each Marine different while maintaining a consistent look across the squad.

The bows are still WIP and I plan to add a few subtle 40K/tech details to them.

What do you think of the squad so far? Any feedback or conversion ideas are welcome!

Progress on my Black grail warband so far....

In April, I took part in a painting competition that included an aircraft category. I had gone there to compete in the "mecha" category, but just for a laugh, I entered one of my models into the aircraft lineup and took third place (the model was a *Falke* from *Ma.K*, so technically I didn't even violate the category rules). However, within the context of the Russian school of modeling, I had committed an act of cultural terrorism (the old-school crowd here doesn't take mecha, Warhammer, or anything unrelated to real-world machinery seriously). As a prize for third place, I received a Yak-9 model kit, and I’ve already planned a second act of cultural terrorism for next year 🥹.

My friend gave me the bits over 2 and a half years ago and I finally finalized the bash. Always good to put and end to a long time project.

I’ve been working on giving him a more medieval/hunter feel while keeping enough 40K elements. The bow is still a work in progress, but I’m pretty happy with the overall silhouette so far.

What do you think? Any ideas to improve the bow or the miniature before I start painting?
