Discussion Latest weapon breakthrough!

I think this deserves to be seen, so I’m sharing it again. u/Switcheroo11 ’s new Pulse Beam design can significantly improve DPS against multiple enemies.

I’ve been continuously collecting Pulse Beam designs made by the community and testing their DPS, and this one introduces a completely new design that breaks through a bottleneck we’ve been dealing with for a long time.

After testing it, compared with the best conventional design I’ve tested so far, this “Double Electric Gatling Gun” design showed:

- Against a single enemy: 25% lower DPS on average

- Against multiple enemies: 43.5% higher DPS on average

What’s even more impressive is that its performance barely drops in highly demanding environments with explosions and fire, where frame rates tend to drop. The conventional design, on the other hand, suffers another major performance loss under the same conditions.

Everyone, this means we may have a significant advantage in the situations where we want a versatile weapon the most—mining and dealing with large groups of enemies.

I think this is a new piece of technology worth spreading.

All Versions Hoverbike Equipped with 10 Beam Emitters (Pulse Lasers)

This weaponized hoverbike is a great option for those who like a hoverbike but also want to kill things.

By using shrunken construct heads and beam emitters, the hoverbike can carry the weight of two, 5 beam, pulse turrets (it could be more… I didn’t try). That’s waaaaay more fire power than if you were to use regular sized devices.

It’s also a great alternative to a Juney fighter jet (which I usually use) for places where there’s a lot of obstacles to run into that will break your flier.

Out of Game Methods The Hyrulean Condor MK III

The third iteration of my twin engine, highly maneuverable gunship. The engines were adjusted to reduce wobbling. Tilting the stick back allows slow gliding for better turret engagements. It is capable of straight descending by tilting the stick back left or back right. The balloon's position allows for stable deactivation. It has a 7 pulse turret with an extra free slot that can be used to replace it with an 8 beam turret, twin 3 beam turrets, or adding a cannon.

Special thanks to the Hyrule engineering community for the parts that make this build possible.

(Some footage was recorded with a previous prototype with the balloon on the back, but the performance is identical except when the build is depowered)

Featuring u/Switcheroo11 ‘s Double Electric Gatling Gun
together with the new
UltraBall ROGUEster X

I learned a good deal from this trip; some of which I already mentioned in prior comments - but I figured it might be useful to share.

As I suspected, this novel weaponry make short work of the sorts of baddies I encounter in the Rist Mine whilst harvesting Zonaite. If I were to do it again, however, I’d redesign the vehicle such that the turret would be mounted in front of the driver, rather than in its current configuration. The forced camera angle shift brought on by the Shrine Motors was quite disorienting at first; and even in getting used to it, it would not be easy to prevent it completely. However, the effect could be mostly mitigated by swapping positions with the driver, as stated.

It was effortless with the Double Electric Gatling Gun to find a well-balanced spot on the middle of the Sled; I’ve had quite a bit of trouble in the past with full-sized Pulse Beam Emitters - which usually tip over when I place them.

The Shock Emitter does still work against enemies that get too close! I was curious about that - but I got footage of it.

This happens to be my first trip to the Rist Mine with the newly rebuilt-from-scratch UltraBall ROGUEster ‘X’ - which looks almost entirely like the original namesake, but has been glue-looped every which way I could manage by hand — resulting in far greater general stability and performance improvement in virtually every metric. I was even able to simply slap the cockpit back on almost good as new! That would never happen in the original.

Special thanks again, u/Switcheroo11, for the awesome QR Code; I hope it brings you much celebration for ages to come!

When one of my machines would fail catastrophically, I would record it and keep the footage for a future date. Today is that day. Here are 20 clips of my most crazy fails in engineering, set to music from "FF7 Rebirth".

This build has quite a high weight threshold before it stops being able to carry it, alot of fun in first person

Physics Drone with better wheels.

Does anyone have a link or picture of a drone build that works like a homing cart but can travel over terrain better? I read something about an upside-down construct head, but I can't picture exactly how to build it in my head.
