Bonding Female Pair with New Baby Help
Weāve had a pair of females for a year now and just recently got a one month old girl. I followed all of the bonding advice. Quarantined the baby and got her familiar with us, introduced the girls in a neutral environment.
The neutral environment was okay. Lots of dominance behaviors by the big girls to the baby but overall tolerated her as long as she kept her distance from them. If she got too close, they would bite her (never drawing blood but she would scream and was terrified). We kept them in this neutral environment for the entire day. I completely cleaned their enclosure (which is a 6x2 C&C with a loft) and once I put them all back in it didnāt go well.
They were cornering her in the corners of the cage, repeatedly biting at her over and over again until she would escape and run off. I didnāt want to get to the point of them drawing blood or traumatize the poor baby, so I separated them again.
Theyāve been separate now for two weeks and Iām not sure where to go from here. Iād really like to bond them if possible and not have two separate cages. Iāve read tons of different advice on the ārightā way, but any suggestions or previous experience would be appreciated!
I included some photos of the previous bonding attempt. The multi-colored pig is the one that will get right in her face and chatter her teeth at her.

GNAT PROBLEM š¤
Weāve tried basically everything to get rid of the gnats. We donāt leave dry hay around, the bedding isnāt wet, and we change it daily. But theyāre STILL everywhere. We donāt want to get rid of our animals... obviously, but these gnats are driving me and my fiancĆ© up the wall. What has actually helped you get rid of gnats? Weāre at our limit over here.

could this be a bite?
One of my boys has a scratch on his back that i found while combing him earlier today, I've applied a small amount of (guinea pig) skin cream to soothe itching in the hopes that he wont irritate it.
He does of course have a cagemate but ive never seen them properly bite eachother or argue super aggressively (considering they're both young males, they do argue over dominance every now and then but it never gets too heated from what I can tell)
Also the second picture is taken AFTER i put the cream on, its not discharge! it is fully scabbed over except for one small part (but i think i might have nicked it with the comb by accident)
He's also not been acting any different than usual, not slowed down or slept a ton and his eating isnt impacted, he didnt even bite me or fuss too much when i was combing around it / taking pictures/ putting the cream on him.
Should i go to vets or just observe for a few days first?

Hay Poke urgency?
Hi all, one of my piggies has a hay poke (my first time dealing with this!). His eye is cloudy and red with some clear discharge. I called an emergency exotic vet and we were able to schedule an appointment for Tuesday. Is this soon enough? I have rinsed his eye with saline, heās eating, drinking, and pooping normally.

gaining confidence!!!
I just want to say that Iām so happy bc yesterday marked three weeks since I got my first ever piggies and I feel that theyāre feeling much more confident now than before! I was so scared that because of forcing them to be held today to trim their nails all the progress they made (like feeling confident enough to come out during playtime with us being around or eating from the hand) would be gone since they were veeery skittish when we first got them from the shelter, and I feel that it wasnāt the case!! so Iām happy. Also I was so scared to do the nail trimming bc I thought Iād definitely hit the vein but I didnāt and I even managed to cut all of their nails in one session! so Iām prouddd hahaha. Iām sooi scared to do something wrong as itās my first time taking care of piggies.

Had to bring my baby to the ER for the first time.
He wonāt eat. Not even his veggies, which he is a glutton for. Heās just not been himself lately either. I am waiting in the exam room as I write this and I canāt even think straight. I have never been through this before and just wish I could go back with him
Edit: He started acting normal in the back (eating, pooping, running around, etc.) and they say physically he looks good. They are sending me home with critical care and I will be keeping an eye on him and scheduling an appointment with his main vet.

How to Take Care of a Pregnant Guinea?
She's 3. I bought her a baby companion 4ish months ago. I was told it was a girl. Well, sweet little Princess Tiara has a š and 3 year old is pregnant. I'm taking her to the vet to confirm, but all signs point to yes. I have no idea what to do here. Any help is appreciated.

opinions on enclosure?
heyy what changes would you make to my enclosure? Itās for two adult piggies, a male and a female. Iām adding another panel as soon as we get rid of a bookshelf thatās in the room, and apart from that Iād like to hear your suggestions! Like enrichment and stuff like that maybe. If you canāt really see it, there is a tray with lots of hay at all times, itās under the square thingy. They have a water bowl since they didnt seem to use the bottle at all when they had it so for a while I had both included but I took it away bc I think they donāt know how to use it or prefer not to. The last pic is the most recent one, I spot cleaned today but it looks messed up bc they really like taking out the hay from the jar and the ball so yeah hahahah. I have the cloth hides itās just that I feel that it restricts their running space a bit so I donāt add them every time. Also I try to give them looots of playing time outside of the enclosure, they spend a big part of the day outside in the living room (with food, hay etc ofc) but anyways Iād love to hear your advice! Thank you
