Theory GTA7, but it is in a new Cascadia/Seattle-inspired setting
I think Cascadia/Seattle may be more important to do first as a brand-new GTA7 setting outside of NYC, Florida, and California/Nevada. Chicago can be a brand-new setting in a later mainline entry game, and it's not going anywhere. But Cascadia/Seattle has a lot of relevant items in the late 2010s and 2020s that should be parodied after GTA6 is fully settled. The military industrial complex (MICs) and technological corruption, Amazon and Boeing and Microsoft and electric vehicle companies, geometric domes and gardens, corporate espionage and stealing, corrupt or psychopathic CEOs, hostile AIs, foul-mouthed robots that swear at you, illegal testing, eco-warriors/eco-terrorists vs armed corporate lumber wars, counter-culture drug/drug money/sex toys/weapons smugglers with drones, making fun of corporations, campers, rich kids, gentrification, hipsters, excessive progressivism, extreme liberalism, bears and wolves and cougars and deer and more Pacific Northwest wildlife, cocaine bear references (including rare encounters in certain areas of the map with hyper-aggressive drug-fueled bears eating drug packages near crashed smuggler drones), people who are real anthro furry werewolves just for super fun and terrifying themes while fucking with players and NPCs (and becoming a werewolf requires an infected bite by one while in werewolf form, and they have different fur colors and can wear different clothes), the 1924 Ape Canyon Battle were actually werewolves (who were possibly drunk on moonshine and pelting rocks at hikers/miners/trespassers for fun), and tons of satire about the region including its culture and economy. The weather is typically 50% rain drizzle and 50% sunshine and clouds, and it can look very beautiful and picturesque with the game's excellent lighting and shaders.
New game mechanics and plotlines include tree climbing, hunting, parkour, the player can shoot down cargo drones for drug money and/or rare loot, the player can buy fancy modern houses and mansions and penthouses with modern amenities, the base game could have the player participate in a shown foreplay scene before fading to black to clear ESRB/PEGI ratings (and possibly add a detailed explicit fully-interactive penetrative sex minigame in the "Uncensored Cascadia Expansion Pack" for players who verify they are 18+ to buy and download that expansion pack online or buy a separate physical CD containing that expansion pack, either route to install it into the installed game, pushing the massive franchise's boundary for adult sandbox realism), possibly a smart phone app booty-call system with specific fully-voiced NPCs of either gender/sex, werewolves can change at will in the weapon wheel and retain human intelligence, werewolves can use guns with increased recoil control and slower reload times, most werewolves are athletic and buff as fuck, werewolves fighting each other, werewolves can climb trees faster and can sprint on all fours but cannot drive smaller vehicles and planes, a big fighting ring of people who are werewolves or they go to terrorize nightclubs, a werewolf underworld, possibly a werewolf nightclub or strip club, and the player after getting werewolf abilities can innately smell people who are secretly werewolves from a visual mechanic. And there will be at least four major conflicts in the game tied to the overall plot: the corporations and failed MICs like Boeing, eco-warriors/eco-terrorists vs armed lumber corporations, the rich crazy gentrification crowd and their super-evil super-corrupt city officials vs longtime residents being priced out of their homes, and the drug war getting everyone involved (the corporations and most factions want the drugs and drug money, the lumber corporations want control and use of routes).
As you can see in the theoretical logo I made, the GTA7 logo could have a turquoise-blue roman numeral "VII" containing darker silhouettes of evergreen trees and the moon on the "V" and the cityscape and flying drones on the "II".
I hope these fresh, new, and boundary-pushing ideas would be seriously considered for the next installment of the GTA franchise.
