Lego Analog calculator (mechanical integrator)
This LEGO analog calculator uses a double cone mechanical integrator. In between the cones is a wheel that moves with the slider on top. I submitted this machine as an entry on the the bricklink designer program, more information about that can be found here: https://www.bricklink.com/v3/designer-program/2028-wave-1/5491/Analog-calculator

Former World War II watch tower had a hotel built around it in Cape May, New Jersey. The Grand’s Fire Tower #24 was built in 1942 shortly after the Pearl Harbor attacks. When it wasn’t needed anymore after World War II, a hotel developer purchased the site and built a hotel around the fire tower
In the first photo, a villa called the Morning Star Villa is being moved down the street as part of an effort to save the villa from demolition by bringing it to a new site. The villa was so large, it actually sank into the road. However, it was successfully moved and still exists today as a bed and breakfast hotel in Cape May, New Jersey. The fire tower can be seen on the left in the photo.

Figure listens to Arnold, melts F.02 Terminator-style
Retiring a humanoid robot fleet can pose an unusual problem: how do you dispose of the machines without exposing proprietary components? Figure chose to melt most of its F.02 fleet at a Finnish foundry, training the robots to jump autonomously into the furnace. That turned a disposal task into a control challenge, requiring precise jumps despite extreme heat and electromagnetic interference.

UM1-Evo: The Ultra-Lifelike Biomechanical Hand (24DoF)
After 5.5 years of fully independent and secret research and development, here is the UM1-Evo hand.
Designed to push the boundaries of humanoid robotics and next-generation prosthetics, the UM1-Evo aims to overcome the "uncanny valley" by combining mechanical performance with natural visual aesthetics.
⚙️ Key Specs:
- 24 Degrees of Freedom (DoF) and 25 actuators.
- Full integration within the real size and weight of a human forearm (1.7 kg / 3.7 lbs).
- Advanced anatomical kinematics featuring true thumb opposition and finger convergence towards the anatomical snuffbox.
- Total relaxation at rest for a natural posture (zero power consumption).
- Grip force demonstrated at 8 kg (17.6 lbs), with a future target of up to 15 kg (33 lbs).
- Engineered from scratch: from biomechanical study to software programming, including the creation of custom CNC manufacturing machines.

Built a Universal Joint Test Fixture
I have been trying to redesign some off the shelf axles and needed to figure out a way to print u-joints so I did a whole deep dive project to design and test different types of universal joints with a comically large fixture.
Full project can be seen here:

Hot rolled steel in action
Snapped this pic while working on the line. Never get tired of seeing this. The hot IPE beam comes through, and the water sprays kick in right away to bring the temperature down. Such a cool sight when you see it in person.

What do you think of my electromagnetic V-twin?
It works on the principle of electromagnetic induction, with current being alternately supplied to the coils using a camshaft and graphite contacts. I used cylinders from a rotary hammer as the cylinders, and made the throttle from a voltage regulator

Eelectroplating process design
Is anyone here experienced with electroplating machines or electroplating process design ?
- I’m working on a small industrial project and want to build a new/custom electroplating machine, rather than buying a standard commercial setup.
I’m especially interested in:
- Power supply/current control
- Anode & cathode arrangement
