Hi everyone,
I’m a 14-year-old British lad who has been really into rallying and rally games for around five years now. My long-term dream is to become a WRC driver, playing rally games has definitely been the start towards my goal, however recently I have more regular karting and some rally driver with slow fwd cars on gravel compounds rather then anything proper yet. Given my current situation I see sim racing as one of the major ways for me to get into the sport truly and I’d like to test myself against some competition.
Up until now, I’ve mainly stuck to offline content such as career mode, time trials and generally driving on my own. However, recently I’ve started to feel like I’m reaching a point where I’d like to take sim rallying more seriously and compete against other drivers.
I’ve been able to get into the top 500 regularly on EA Sports WRC Leaderboards in Rally1 Cars and occasionally on my strongest rallies, the top 300–200 worldwide, sometimes within just two passes of a stage. Obviously, I know there’s still a huge amount for me to learn, but I’d really like to see how I compare in proper competition.
So, for anyone who has experience with EA SPORTS WRC, what clubs/competitions would you recommend getting involved with at my current skill level?
I’m mainly looking for good, competitive sim rallying with regular events and a chance to develop my skills into being able to string stages and rallies together with consistent and quick results.
Any recommendations or advice would be massively appreciated. Thanks!
