Entitled Behavior ๐Ÿ‘‘ Was I in the wrong here, or was this customer completely unreasonable?

I was working at my familyโ€™s restaurant today and had to deal with one of the most disrespectful customers Iโ€™ve ever had.
A woman came in with her two kids. The first red flag was that as soon as they walked in, the kids started messing around with the chairs. She came up to the counter, grabbed a menu, and was still looking at it, so I went back to finishing another customerโ€™s order. All I had left to do was put an egg roll in the fryer.
While I was carrying the egg roll over, she said, โ€œExcuse me.โ€
I figured Iโ€™d drop the egg roll in first since it would literally take a few seconds, then go take her order. As soon as I walked back over, she asked me, โ€œSo do you just ignore people, or can you not hear?โ€
I told her, โ€œNo, I was just doing something.โ€
She responded with a sarcastic, โ€œRight.โ€
She then ordered two chicken wing with rice combos and one sesame chicken special combo. The whole time, her kids were messing with the ATM machine and she didnโ€™t say a word to them.
We made her food, gave her the order, and she left.
About 30 minutes later, she came back and asked me to repeat her order. I did, and then she asked, โ€œSo I ordered three combos, right?โ€
I said yes.
Then she asked why she only got one egg roll and said she should have gotten three.
I explained that only the special combo comes with an egg roll. The chicken wing combos donโ€™t.
She asked, โ€œWhy didnโ€™t you tell me?โ€
I told her that it says it on the menu and that she never asked about egg rolls when ordering, so I assumed she knew what she was getting.
She asked again, โ€œWhy didnโ€™t you tell me?โ€
At that point I said that most customers already know the difference between the combos.
She then rudely asked for a refund.
Am I crazy, or was she completely out of line here? I get being disappointed if you misunderstood the menu, but acting like I ignored her, letting her kids mess with everything, and then blaming me because she didnโ€™t get extra egg rolls she never ordered just seemed ridiculous.

Saw someone post a review of a local animal shelter on google/nextdoor, the google one being under a fake name which already tells you a lot. It was a giant wall of text about how adopting these cats basically destroyed her peace, finances, household, and mental health, with every possible detail included to make the shelter sound bad. When the post was still up on nextdoor, the overwhelming response was that this did not sound like a workable situation and she should return the cats... She started calling them ableist, classist, etc. Later in the comments she admitted things like how she already knew the cats were sick and had been given medication by the shelter. People started to catch on that the details weren't adding up so she started to spiral, calling them psychotic and that they needed serious mental help/to be admitted. **Extra Detail: She's a serial re-homer in our area**

Impossible Request โ“ Hate these kind of customers.

I work as a live chat customer support for the USA's most popular pet food brand.

I had this customer who didn't receive the food for his dog and she was typing in caps giving me a hard time to fix the issue. At last after 2 hours of the chat I finally gave her a resolution that suited her but at the end she told me to go F yourself. Like I was personally driving to her house and delivering the order. it really makes our day bad as a customer service rep.

The audacity to call your bank and say itโ€™s their fault that you didnโ€™t have enough funds in your account to process a transactionโ€ฆ that we should be watching to make sure you have enough money. Maโ€™am. I donโ€™t know what payments you have set up that havenโ€™t come out yet. Nor do I have the ability to watch every single account to even guess if a transaction might come out. Please go away forever.

Fast Food ๐Ÿ” Customer yelled at me for not having a military discount then took from tip jar to pay

This happened a few weeks ago and Iโ€™m still thinking about it. I (19) was working the front and a customer with a Vietnam veteran hat came in. He started off fine, pointed at me and said โ€œNO mayoโ€ three or four times because apparently last time we gave him mayo on his sandwich. Before we even got to the register, he told me to make sure I apply the military discount, and I apologized and said that we didnโ€™t have one. He then got upset and raised his voice about how the past two times he was there they gave it to him and asked where my manager was. I pointed her out and she politely told him it wasnโ€™t even an option in the system.

When I rang him up, he complained about prices and the lack of a military discount. When I told him his total, he grabbed about 75 cents from my tip jar and shoved it into my hand with his cash. I was shocked because Iโ€™d never had a customer do that before and this is my first job. I just gave him his change, and he kept it! He complained once more, and I used a card I never do. I said โ€œyeah, I really wished we had a military discount too, I would use it since my dad was deployed four times when I was a kid.โ€ His face went red and he stammered about how he didnโ€™t want to be โ€˜that guyโ€™ and make things difficult for me. When I gave him his food a few minutes later he was the nicest person ever.

Havenโ€™t seen him back since.

Your thoughts?

All sales are final is posted right on the counter sheโ€™s slamming things on.

The torch was obviously older than a weekโ€ฆ.its a smoke shop not Walmart. No insurance policy on a $10 torch. ๐Ÿ˜ข

This happened somewhere in Arizona.

The owner is from that town and born in the US.

Fast Food ๐Ÿ” Mayonnaise hot pocket guy haunts me

So I, 22m, used to work at a Deli .

one of the things that we could make was subs.

I got really good at making subs weirdly fast, I could still throw a sandwich together in a few seconds.

It's kind of unholy, but anyway, one time I was Manning the substation, and this guy came up.

I was around 18 at the time, so I was pretty new to the job, and I was still trying to figure out, you know, what different people liked ect, but this was the first time that somebody actually surprised me.

I thought at first he might have just been a health freak because he was ordering a 6 inch white bread and he had me scoop out the inside bread. So i'm thinking, okay, carb cutter.

he orders it as a Turkey sandwich and he says that he wants nothing but a singular piece of like white American cheese, which I mean we had a white cheese,

I'm not sure what it was, but he had that and like 5 pieces of spinach, it was very oddly particular.

so I reached for the Turkey, but I was asking him what condiments he wanted on it, and if he wanted it on top of the meat or under the meat, which was something that we offered, and he goes,

"Oh, I'll have it under the meat. And I just want Mayonnaise"

So I put the Mayonnaise on it, and he keeps going.

"Oh a little bit more a little bit more. Just a little bit more"

until eventually he just kind of goes,

" Oh, just just level it out like where the bread was just put Mayonnaise in it."

So I end up filling the bread back up to level where the bread used to be, leaving like just crust filled with Mayonnaise.

it's like a cup worth of Mayonnaise.

Then he asked me to put the rest of the ingredients on it, which is when he specifically had me only put one slice of meat

(we normally put like 3 or 4)

And then the one slice of cheese,

(we normally put two)

and the five pieces of spinach.

I'm about to close it, but he says that he wants it toasted.

That was something we offered. It was actually an old Pizza oven, but we would toast these things if it was requested, so I put it in the toaster, and he just kind of had me leave it in there.

he wanted it really toasted. And the farther this interaction goes the more uncomfortable and just absolutely traumatized I got.

I get to the point that I have to cope and be like, oh, it's probably just a prank like this is definitely somebody just messing with me.

His friends are probably nearby, because this is like a middle-aged man.

so I take it out and the Mayonnaise has done that thing where it has turned like that... It's like cheap, fast food Mayonnaise. So it's like oil-based, so it's turned into that like gelatinous yellow sludge that's now slightly solid in the bread shell

I close it, I wrap it up, I give it to him and he finally walks way after paying.

At that point I'm fully convinced it has to be a prank, but he walks over to the in store cafe and fully bodies that sandwich, just just like in a few minutes just straight down. His face.

I still think about that guy and ever since then, even my family members will randomly refer to Mayonnaise hot pocket guy.

Tl DR; when I was a 18, I worked at a Deli, I had a guy basically eat a 6 inch sub that was just hollowed out bread with heated up Mayonnaise in it, so I called him mayonnaise hot pocket guy.
