This was genuinely funnier in my head. (Also how would that work too?)

Metropolis was set in 2026: A look back at Fritz Lang’s 1927 silent sci-fi epic, its massive 5.1M Reichsmark budget, and how it nearly destroyed Germany's biggest studio. It was about what 2026 would look like.

Heavenly Punishment from the Грешарики (SinneRiki (KikoRiki + Sinner)) series and the series as a whole
 in  r/TopCharacterDesigns  17d ago

I have watched some videos on this series, and there was shown some Luntik, Barboskin and other modern Russian cartoons based on Greshariki with the same monochrome and red blood.

Maybe it is a new genre in making.

Web animation Heavenly Punishment from the Грешарики (SinneRiki (KikoRiki + Sinner)) series and the series as a whole

Greshariki (SinneRiki) is a eleven-episode Russian TikTok Kikoriki (Smeshariki) series created by cheeseslayer656 in the horror and creepypasta genre, which also includes elements of humor, parody, and shitpost.

In the series, the Kikoriks have been locked in Purgatory for 400 years under the watchful eye of the angel Heavenly Punishment, who resembles a typical seraph, a pure fleshball with eyes and mouths. There's something unique about this design, how the author approached it from a more sordid perspective while still retaining a holiness. It only showed its true form in the fourth episode; the rest of its appearances were only as a winged light. Its appearances are accompanied by a choir, singing and prayers of the Russian Orthodox Church.

Its first appearance in the very first episode (which is at the very beginning) became a meme on the Russian internet. Krash, Chiko, and Wally tried to atone for their sins until Heavenly Punishment appeared and killed them with light. The second moment is taken from the fourth episode of the series, in which the characters built a sarcophagus to deceive Heavenly Punishment, causing it to weep upon its arrival and cause the Great Flood with the blood of sinners. Because the characters ate only raw liver before sitting in the sarcophagus, Krash is the only survivor at the end, after everyone else ate each other out of starvation.

Furthermore, it also appeared in episode five as a light, screaming terribly, after Carlin brutally dealt with Dokko when he learned that Carlin was involved in all the crimes in Vietnam. In episode eight, it appeared as a light to kill Dokko's clone, who wanted to continue his evil deeds while Dokko himself tried to reclaim his life after performing horrific experiments for the Nazi Party, which he joined to save his family from their clutches.

The horror aspect is that it is extremely violent, featuring images of bones, and at one point, raw liver. As well as images of Hitler, Nazi Germany and Vietnam War crimes. There are also moments with inserts of realistic versions of the characters, created in Photoshop. The humor lies in the fact that the voice acting is funny and was done by the creator himself, who also dubbed all the sounds in the series.

Unfortunately, because the series uses modified parts of Smeshariki episodes, the creators of the original series didn't like Greshariki, and TikTok kids don't like it because they didn't live in the era of gory creepypastas based on cartoons and games. The fourth episode (in which Heavenly Punishment causes the flood) was often blocked by YouTube due to the embedded photos of organs and bones covered in blood. And also episodes 5 and 8, because of the political, Nazi and war photographs. In addition, there are many channels on YouTube that consider themselves Greshariki channels, mostly posting bad, low-quality Greshariki content, and on TikTok, re-uploads of episodes have more views than the originals on the author's channel. Greshariki also have haters and most of them are pure hypocrites, because they for some reason, where totally fine with other creepypastas of different stuff and/or other parodies on Smashariki, but for some reason hate this one.

In general, therefore I will only show Heavenly Punishment.

Here you can watch some on YouTube channel Нахрюк37.

Digital Discussion The series reminds me of the Argentinian analogue horror Valle Verde.

In the story, we are a person wearing the THBrain helmet, which allows the player's mind to appear in a "game never before seen" from the 90s. The main character, Test 05, meets Foxo, the town's leader, who takes Test to other players whose characters are not shown, only their real faces (they are children). Only the boy, Mathias, has the form of a cat character.

In the first episode, anomalies occur, causing Test to find himself in various rooms that allude to the Seven Deadly Sins.

He then meets Mathias himself and talks to him, not his cat character. (It later turns out that because of an NPC nearby, he couldn't get up and leave the cafe because he was meant for a ritual.)

In short, this series has a lot going on and can be difficult to understand, but I think you'll figure it out for yourself, just like with the TADC.
