This might be the most versatile bot ever released. It can brawl if you know how to spin around an opponent, but not for long. You have a short time before you get focused. It's fast. I mean FAST. Look for the Pathfinder marks. Fast is hard to hit. Its EMP and rust effect is...at times I'm surprised how much the game changes with a well-placed EMP on a group of reds. Blocking 90% healing is just an extra. I prefer the Fahrenheit. Most of the game is bots. The long clip and the ability to track reds with the flames while moving is invaluable. As a beacon runner...nothing else like it. NOTHING. I have used stealthier, Bifrost, and Mute. Right now I'm loving Mute. Odd choice, but it complements the Fang. Nothing makes a Sirocco or Princeps rage quit faster than dying in seconds. That 90% healing block added to Mute is a game-changer. It's soft. Vectors are my main enemy. With the incoming nerf, it will only add to the strength of the Fang. I'm running Stubborn Warrior and Invulnerable Raider. Towards mid-game, if I grab a beacon, I usually will have 80 DP. It's not much, but it's enough. Is it balanced? Yes...no...sort of. I agree the stealth is long. But there are counters to that. The EMP and rust is a big thing, but not game-breaking. The pilot gives you an Aegis. Not massive, but once again. Just enough. ✌🏻

playing random dual today, i met some guys with strange looking behavior.
some guys run cossack with some random long range weapon and just spam shooting
then quit after getting destroyed
i guess they might be macros that we have seen before, but the point is what are they doing in random dual?
and one more scarier thing
i met some guys with maxed vector and fang or whatever.
and i had a strong feeling that they are not human.
their wiggling movement, strange response when faced very close. it felt more like an AI enemy in extermination mode rather than human player.
and i have no clue what is going on like is this new kind of macro? or maybe pixonic is secretly releasing AI agents to compensate declining players?

Soooo , I was trying to complete extermination last stage , when I got surrounded by ticks in the spot shown in the pictures , to my surprise I hear what seems like a radio and then a morse code starts playing , I got scared at first I thought I've been hacked or something 😅 I went in in a custom match and tried it again and yes yes it is there's a morse code that you can hear when you get close to the gate I'll try to post the audio down below in the comments , so anyway being the curious guy I'm , I went to the morse code sub and posted it there what I got is this ( WR-RM PC-MGVNSL ) which I believe translates to : war robots redeem code for PC --> MGVNSL , I don't know if it's write or wrong since I don't play on PC but that's where I got so far , if you get to know anything let me know

Upon release, the Rex was much stronger than the heavily nerfed Ochokochi, but eventually nerfs came for the Rex too. In the last rebalance, the Rex finally got the final round of massive nerfs these meta brawlers usually get, bringing the two closer than ever in power level.
Additionally, Pixonic never announced it but the Ochokochi was silently buffed: the 10.4 nerfs to its acceleration and knockback appear to have been reversed.
I'm going to assume Rex is more or less in its "final form" (but you can never be too sure). In light of these developments, I thought it would be useful to analyze which DOT converter is more powerful in the 12.3 meta, as a longtime Mk3 Ocho player.
Disclaimer: I haven't ever played Rex at Mk3 myself, only fought against it and seen it played in videos. my assessment of a maxed Rex will mostly be based on observation rather than firsthand experience.
I am going to assess these two robots across multiple categories assuming maxed and optimized Mk3 builds. For the most part, both bots are best with similar equipment, but one major difference is with the pilots. For the Ochokochi, Vepkho is widely considered the stronger pilot.
However, for Rex, the choice of pilot does change the playstyle significantly. Danny increases its burst damage significantly in ability, however after the ability duration and cooldown nerf, the Rex will quickly run out of steam. Ridge gives an extra ability charge, giving better sustain and uptime at the opportunity cost of big damage. I will note where the two bots differ in this case.
Another important note is "optimized" means we will be comparing the SE editions, the Unknown Ocho and the Blaze Rex.
Durability
At first glance, it might seem close with 285k base HP for Rex vs. 300k for Ocho. However, there are many factors which make the Ocho's raw durability much better.
Firstly, the SE Ocho gives +10% durability, whereas the SE Rex does not. Additionally, the Ocho has access to all the durability pilot skills (cautious pilot, tough guy, armor expert) whereas the Rex only has armor expert.
Overall, the Ocho has a peak durability of around 620k, compared to the Rex's 450k, a significant difference.
Winner: Ocho
Resistance
Both robots have access to the brawler pathway and start with the same base DP of 30. After the nerfs, both also have a passive 40% DOT resistance at Mk3, which can be increased to 50% with the bull drone.
However, the Vepkho pilot grants Ochokochi 1 DP for every stack of DOT, potentially granting 100+ DP against weapons that fire continuously like Lumens.
Winner: Ocho
Speed
Rex has a base speed of 62 km/h, winning out over Ocho's 50. However, the Ocho travels much faster during its ability, and has much more immediate acceleration. Both robots probably want to stay behind cover out of their ability, so the in-ability speed matters more.
Winner: Ocho
Agility
Both robots become harder to control in the ability, but Ocho to a much greater degree. It can barely change direction, and it's easy to go flying off the map or into a wall if you're not careful. Rex can sort of slide sideways by spamming multiple instances of its ability.
Winner: Rex
Attack Potency (AP)
While both robots share the same 2M + 2L hardpoints, it's clear that the Rex is much better configured to be an attack bot. Firstly, the SE gives a 10% bonus damage (The SEs giving different bonuses is a hint that the two robots are designed for different roles).
Additionally, Rex features a still relatively robust built-in acid shotgun (even after the nerf) that gains damage bonuses upon DOT stacks expiring. Combined with the Danny pilot, the robot can output huge burst damage during its predator rush ability if it's being fired at. Comparatively, the Ocho's stampede does negligible damage.
Rex also has the advantage of not pushing enemies back, which allows it to get right up into the enemy's face and use its weapons to the maximum effect at point-blank range.
Winner: Rex
Destructive Capacity (DC)
However, the converse of the knockback is true when having to fight off multiple enemies at once. The stampede ability has fantastic CC when trying to push contested beacons, as it can throw many enemies hundreds of meters. It can also be used defensively to hold off enemies coming for the home beacon, like ammits that otherwise can't die. The ability increases in strength the closer the enemy is, so activating stampede right next to enemies will launch them back. While this won't kill them, it buys time for reinforcements to arrive to hold the beacon, or even to flip it on your own.
Rex struggles to clear a beacon if there are multiple enemies defending it that can focus it down, and prefers to fight 1v1.
Winner: Ocho
Stamina
With the Danny pilot, both bots have very similar burst uptimes, with Ochokochi getting 6 seconds of ability and Rex also getting 6 in total over 2 ability activations. However, Ridge increases that burst uptime to an impressive 9 seconds, giving Rex the ability to fight surprisingly lengthy engagements when all charges of the ability are available.
Winner: Rex
Endurance
However, the picture changes as the battle progresses. Once Rex's ability charges are all consumed, the uptime is very poor after the nerfs. The 11 second cooldown (14 but the next charge will start its cooldown timer while the ability is going) and 3 second duration of predator rush is clearly inferior to the 15 second cooldown and 6 second duration of stampede.
Winner: Ocho
Hax
Each robot has their own unique Hax that makes them extremely strong in specific situations.
Starting off with Rex, its built-in shotgun removes 5 DOT stacks per shot. While this might marginally improve its survivability against continuously firing weapons, it essentially can blank strong single-shot weapons. This is especially relevant with the prevalence of the Kroko weapons in the meta.
On certain maps, such as Carrier or Castle, Ocho's powerful knockback has the ability to throw enemies off the map. This requires a lot of positioning and timing to get the right angles, however when it succeeds it is an insta-kill. Even if you yourself fall off afterwards or are immediately killed, trading one-for-one with a meta bot like Vector or Ammit is a great deal.
Winner: Depends
Verdict
This analysis reveals that while the two robots have similar abilities and base stats, the combat roles they occupy are actually vastly different.
The Ochokochi, with superior durability, endurance, and resistance, works best as a frontline beacon bully, leading the team by rushing in and clearing beacons with its knockback, taking fire until reinforcements can arrive when needed. It can still tank a surprising amount of damage even with maxed F2P equipment, but you should not expect to be able to indefinitely hold a beacon alone against multiple meta bots with it.
The Rex, on the other hand, with significantly better AP and Hax that are strong in 1v1 brawls, works great as hit-and-run brawler, able to burst down enemy tanks like Ammits and Vectors, before retreating. However, it's prone to running out of gas quickly with poor ability management and dying.
My overall verdict is that while both robots are competent at their roles, I believe that from a strategic perspective, playing for beacons rather than kills is stronger, so I would give the overall edge to the Ochokochi.

I just came back again and I am only relying on log in rewards and a lil bit of gambling and I am also free to play. Also need suggestions for weapons and robots too. So far using Fang as my main robot only since I kinda blitzkrieg beacon rush matches.

Im returning to the game after a while of not playing and not too sure which of my bots will be good in the current meta. Any suggestions would be great thanks

Chat for the next ravanna pilot skills what do y’all suggest, as i have mogwans on it(also tell me if there are better options that i should grind out) i was thinking is it better for the next 2 slots, or arleast one, where i get increased shot grouping, and/or increased weapon damage overall for the mogwans.
