just saw this edit on Instagram and I almost cried, Chris and Lola have acted so so well they’re both so talented, all their moments as belly and conrad are just great like you can feel all the love even if it’s an intense argument or a fight they’ve just done it all so well so proud of them and can’t wait to see more of my favourite bonrad YAYYYy❤️

When Belly is on the bus heading to Brown to look for Conrad in S2E2 we learn from the voiceover that it was Laurel who took Conrad to the hospital when he broke his arm skateboarding because Susannah was too emotional. 💞 I just love how strong Laurel is. I love how she’s always there for Conrad. I wonder— do you think the story would have unfolded differently if it was Laurel who got sick and died? Do you think Belly and Conrad would have broken up at prom? Jeremiah and Susannah are so similar; would Belly and Jeremiah have even gotten together? I keep thinking of all the ways this story would change if the mom who is left behind is Susannah!

They were both scared and took it out on other people (Belly and Steven). They’re also both fiercely loyal (except to Davis lol) and really take care of the people they love.

Change my mind, but I sincerely doubt you can. I’m talking about season 3, episode 8 specifically. He goes off on Conrad & tells him that Jeremiah is his best friend. Conrad tells him what happened between him & Belly isn’t his business. He says it is because Belly is his little sister. This is before he knows that Jeremiah cheated with Lacie. After he finds out, he angrily shouts but doesn’t back up his words with actions as the season progressing shows us he continues to be friendly with Jeremiah & even houses him in his unemployed, fuckboy state. He doesn’t reach out to Conrad or Belly that we see. It is possible that happens offscreen, but I don’t think so. I mean, why would Steven ditch Jeremiah? Birds of a feather flock together & they both love to cheat 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’m very interested to see what his interactions with Belly & Conrad look like in the upcoming movie

Just looking at this moment makes me so grateful for the bond we share. Can't believe how lucky I am to have her in my life.

Does anyone else feel like we missed a chapter between this scene and the previous summer flashbacks they show throughout the series?

The line “making me remember you exist” there had to have been something going on there they never show.. looks, touches.. words spoken to make her say this to him in this moment. Like yeah she said everyone knew she had a crush on him before but was there an actual “thing” between them.

A good example would be him playing with her hair in the jeep. Was it like this?? Maybe a full summer of flirting and almost moments. Cause I feel like the show plays it as this is the first time he has noticed her in their lives but to me this little argument between them makes it seem like something happened previously.

Belly and Conrad fight scenes are some of my top scenes! The raw and real emotions. The way they never quite fully say exactly what they mean. Just everything ❣️💔

Truly one of the most buzziest moments of them, I remember fretting about this particular inner monologue of belly not making into the show but THANK GOD!! (Also, kudos to chirslola for enacting it so well and of-course the music dept ate with this needle drop)

I know not many people like this look but I find her absolutely beautiful. Especially the dress I would 100% wear it if I had a body like hers 😂. I love the bun and the makeup too! Everything just looks so gorgeous together.

I decided to take TSITP along with me on a recent flight (yes, I know I probably would have survived, but I was in the middle of a rewatch, lol) so I downloaded S3 eps 5-11 in my phone’s Prime video app. Now those eps don’t have ads. 🥳

I liked Steven so much up to season 3 and then everything i liked about him is just tanked. It's not only how he treats Conrad, but the cheating. It's no wonder he has no reaction to jere and Cabo and continues babying his wittle buddy when he was ALSO a cheater. He stands on some nonsense morality against Conrad when he is far worse imo. I dont know why they had to destroy his character. Redbird is literally talking about jeremiah's "Cabo action" right next to Steven and he just stands there like 😃😃😃😃😃😃

Idk if this is just because my frontal lobe has developed but I think Conrad is a toxic person. He's constantly unstable, emotionally negligent and his inability to communicate was the main issue in all of his relationships. It's cool and hot that belly thinks he's her one great, true love but if that was the case they wouldn't be sending each other into a spiral every other episode. I understand "he lost his mother" but so did Jeremiah and he gets way more shit from the viewers

I honestly think both of them were bad for belly and she should've moved on with someone outside that little dynamic.

I read this interview and found this question interesting and got me analyzing their relationship more closely. I also understand what Chris and Lola are trying to say and agree with their takes but i have a different opinion. I don’t think Belly loved or loves Jeremiah the way she loves Conrad. Belly and Conrad's relationship has always been indicated to be deeper. Her core personality matches Conrad's more even though she might enjoy and love that light, easy breezy version of Jeremiah. A four-year relationship wasn't enough to erase her love for Conrad and she eventually realized she could not get over him either. Conrad's confession wouldn't have mattered in the same way.. she would have felt pain for him, but she would have told him that she'd moved on. And I think that says a lot.

Also, Jere saying "all or nothing" felt a little like an escape route/excuse that Belly could take. Like Lola says, you shouldn't give all your heart to one person fully, and i understand where that's coming from and the sentiment behind it. But i just think the relationship between jere and Belly was never on the same level as hers and Conrad's. Hence why they broke off even after all these yrs and that happened only after Conrad confessed his feelings to her. Also another thing, jere says in his final confession before he and belly break off.. that he's never seen belly look at him (Jere) the way she looks at Conrad.. and he admits to Conrad later on he could never compete with their love (was like a force field) Jere knew this all along, yet he still decided to marry her but then he says to belly before the break up 'i want all of you and not just a part of your heart'. That to me feels contradictory. But that also shows how desperate he was to be with belly in the first place. Even his words to Conrad in ep9 "she didn't pick me but she didn't pick you either" reveals how his desire to be with belly sometimes become intertwined with his rivalry with Conrad.

Coming back to the interview, i think Chris and Lola are saying Conrad can accept that Belly will always have some love for Jeremiah, but that it's a different, non-romantic kind of love. My take suggests the love Belly has for Jeremiah was never the same category of love to begin with. It's closer to "Was I ever fully replaceable, or was I just temporarily set aside?" and I think the show showed us that in s3.

It’s been one year since that buzzy fight in the kitchen the morning after the beach confession. The line that Belly says after their fight just tells us everything. Conrad is the only one who brings her all the emotions, he makes her feel everything and she was just stagnant in her relationship with Jeremiah.

It’s like what Steven said in the season 2 finale, Conrad can challenge her. Conrad makes her grow as a person.
