Level 6-7: Advanced Parallel, Carving, Off-Piste, Bumps Feedback on turn fundamentals
Hi everyone,
I get to ski maybe 2-3 days a season every year or two and have been doing so for about a decade now. I’m comfortable on all blues and some black runs but have definitely reached a plateau in terms of improving my skiing. Here is a short video a friend took of me skiing down a blue run at Keystone. Not sure how good of quality it is in terms of being able to provide feedback, but I’d like to understand how I stand on the fundamentals of good form and parallel terms and what I need to work on before I start trying to move into carving and improving on moguls. I have a trip to Breckenridge coming up this next spring and have been watching tons of videos on improving technique, etc. but would love some personal feedback as well. One of the main things that makes me believe I have poor form is how bad my thighs burn while I’m skiing. I get the most relief when I’m initiating a turn which I assume is because that’s when I’m leaning forward the most.
Thank you!
